Gardline Group

[edit]

Welcome back, Beedreamer. This morning's major edits to Gardline Group seem to have been made with good intentions, but I have a some major concerns. Updating is of course fine, but the wholesale deletion of properly cited content is not. This an encyclopaedia, not a trade directory, and the history of Gardline is just as important as its current status and activities. I will be working on restoring much of that content, in an appropriate way, later.

I can see that many of the changes were flagged-up last September on the Gardline talk page by an anonymous editor from the Gardline's IP, which was subsequently blocked. But that does lead me to ask whether you have some direct or indirect connection with the company. If that is the case, it is a WP requirement that it is declared - this is explained at WP:COI, which also includes advice on how to indicate that on this talk page and that of the relevant pages being edited. This would not apply of course if you are entirely unconnected, though confirmation of that here would be desirable. - Davidships (talk) 15:21, 8 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
