Thanks for nominating this for deletion. I've deleted the article but as G7, author request and not A3, no content - the sole contributor to the article had blanked the contents prior to the tag. Euryalus (talk) 09:15, 2 March 2014 (UTC)

@Euryalus: No problem ;) --BiH (talk) 12:14, 2 March 2014 (UTC)

Jakob Lindberg

In this case you were far too quick in judging the notability of a subject with which you appear to lack any interest or familiarity. Jakob Lindberg is a well-known musician, the lack of an article has long been an obvious gap and the article did at the very least show enough significance to make A7 deletion a non-starter. You could have made a better case for deleting the page on copyright grounds. At this point the article has changed far enough to make this less of an acute problem, but I have moved it to the author's sandbox, where it can be developed further. See the talk page, which is now at User talk:Avebury67307/sandbox. --Hegvald (talk) 00:30, 1 March 2014 (UTC)

Dead people

Just a reminder that it's never correct to add the tag Category:Dead people directly to an article. Category:Dead people is a container category for other, more specific categories, such as Category:1980 deaths, and it is the more specific categories that should be used. — Paul A (talk) 02:29, 11 March 2014 (UTC)

Noted. I really did know that. --BiH (talk) 05:53, 11 March 2014 (UTC)

Crisys page

Hi, on Crisys Foundation I have removed most of the links to the crisys website, as you have said there are too many links associated with the subject. I have thereby removed the notice. Is it ok now? --Sjoshi2014 (talk) 06:04, 11 March 2014 (UTC)

@Sjoshi2014:: Still needs more references. Find more citations and include those in your article. --BiH (talk) 06:06, 11 March 2014 (UTC)
Yes I will, thanks for commenting. I added an infobox. Is it correct? --Sjoshi2014 (talk) 07:09, 11 March 2014 (UTC)

Malcha Mahal

Hi, you tagged Malcha Mahal as A11. While the article looks dubious (but apparently isn't), I can't help but wonder what made you think that it wuold be an A11. A G3 hoax, perhaps, but not something clearly made up one day (neologism, new games, new religion, whatever), which is what A11 was intended for. I have removed your speedy tag and added a potential good source to the talk page. Fram (talk) 14:00, 11 March 2014 (UTC)

Noted. I did not see the NY Times reference. It looked like this editor made everything up by his/her writing style. I was obviously wrong. Thank you for your insight. --BiH (talk) 14:03, 11 March 2014 (UTC)

Looking at other recent speedy nominations you made, I note Perkembangan film 2 dimensi dan 3 dimensi, which you tagged as db-nonsense, which specifically states "This does not include poor writing, vandalism and hoaxes (G3), material not in English, badly translated material, etc. " This page was not nonsense but an untranslated page (and probably some essay, so I am not claiming that it belongs on Wikipedia, only that it is not G1 material).

I also removed the A7 from Merlin Crossley, although this is not really incorrect but more of a judgment call. Being a dean of a faculty at a university (a real one, not some paper mill) is a claim of importance, and sufficient to avoid A7 speedy. Premier, Inc. also had claims of importance that disqualified it for A7 speedy.

You also tagged International institute of hotel management as A7, but educational institutions (no matter how commercial) are explicitly excluded from A7. Fram (talk) 14:23, 11 March 2014 (UTC)

@Mvialt:: This is not my article, I just added one category when patrolling recently created articles. --BiH (talk) 17:41, 13 March 2014 (UTC)

References

In this edit you changed the referencing mechanism from list defined references to another type. This is in contravention of WP:CITEVAR: "Editors should not attempt to change an article's established citation style merely on the grounds of personal preference". You also mistakenly changed from a fixed width (35em) for the references to two-column layout - this is a backward step as does not cater for differing screen widths. Please review the guidance on how list-defined references make the text of articles less cluttered and easier to maintain. The documentation of {{Reflist}} also contains information that may be of value to you. --RexxS (talk) 22:04, 14 March 2014 (UTC)

Noted and thanks a lot for this information. --BiH (talk) 22:20, 14 March 2014 (UTC)
You're welcome. I forgot to mention that I wanted to keep your link to mechanism, but that turns out to be a dab page and I couldn't find a good target - we ought to have mechanism (physics), I suppose. Happy editing! --RexxS (talk) 00:24, 15 March 2014 (UTC)

The Reliable Venetian Hand

I have modified the article, please remove this sign: "This article includes a list of references, related reading or external links, but its sources remain unclear because it lacks inline citations. Please improve this article by introducing more precise citations. Thank you for marking my pages

Yeah I have a lot more as well (if you ever search for me) but again thanks. (I've been trying to find a good source for Emmy nominations for a page I just added-yet I can't find one for creative arts other then the IMDB, as for some reason the Emmy's page does not seem to go that far back) Wgolf (talk) 16:21, 21 March 2014 (UTC)

My pleasure :) I am always here to help. --BiH (talk) 16:22, 21 March 2014 (UTC)

Yep, yeah been adding a lot as of late, well have a nice day. Wgolf (talk) 16:24, 21 March 2014 (UTC)

Wikilinking

Hi, and thanks for your work on the English Wikipedia.

I noticed an article you worked on. Just a short note to point out that we don’t normally link:

  • dates
  • years
  • commonly known geographical terms (including well-known country-names), and
  • common terms you’d look up in a dictionary (unless significantly technical).

(This even applies for infoboxes.)

Thanks and my best wishes.

Thanks to you

You reviewed 2 of my articles(Banker Bilo and Unemployment in India) today. Thanks. Remember Tony's advice.--Skr15081997 (talk) 15:31, 29 March 2014 (UTC)

No problem. Thanks --BiH (talk) 15:32, 29 March 2014 (UTC)

Well I decided that someone that was listed as 2 different people on the IMDB was in fact the same guy

As I added this guy Robert MacDonald (filmmaker) and I noticed that there was a R. A. MacDonald nominated in the visual effects field just a little over 10 years before him. Now granted it is a common name but looking over it, it looked like the same guy. (Its the classic problem that happens on the IMDB with common names, I've found amusing ones like "hey wait that guy was not alive yet when he was nominated" as well as one guy whose emmy nominated makeup was not listed on his page but on his award page) Tough call but I decided to combine it as one. (There is some guy nominated for best sound that I swear is 2 different people meanwhile, as there was a guy with the same name nominated in the 30s and in the 70s, likely father/son.) One guy I'm surprise didn't have a page till I added him yesterday was Eustace Lycett, given how he not only did the visuals for Mary Poppins but did some attractions at Disneyland.

Hehehe.. It happens :D --BiH (talk) 18:13, 29 March 2014 (UTC)
