Cut and paste move

Information icon Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you tried to give User:Swdandap/sandbox a different title by copying its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into Pixelmatic. This is known as a "cut-and-paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is legally required for attribution. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.

In most cases, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page (the tab may be hidden in a dropdown menu for you). This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other pages that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Cut-and-paste-move repair holding pen. Thank you. — Brianhe (talk) 03:41, 9 May 2015 (UTC)

Maybe you could also explain how you were able to take another user's sandbox contents, which were blanked at 04:30, 18 December 2013‎, when you created a corporate article months later. Are you aware of the COI disclosure requirements? Undisclosed editing can be a violation of Wikipedia's terms of use, if you didn't know. — Brianhe (talk) 03:46, 9 May 2015 (UTC)

Tasmania

Please, before creating all those categories - have a look at the lead sentence of the article Tasmania - it is not a separate country (although some there or on what we call the 'mainland' would find your editing very funny...) cheers User:JarrahTree 01:52, 16 May 2015 (UTC)

@BiH, you were notified of this SPI on May 10. Although you are not required to do so, it is a bit odd that a long-standing user would not respond.--Bbb23 (talk) 03:46, 19 May 2015 (UTC)

@Bbb23:: Responded. Sorry for the delay. --BiH (talk) 07:49, 19 May 2015 (UTC)

Autopatrolled rights

Hi BiH. Bbb23 mentioned to me that you had left a note on his talk page complaining about me removing autopatrolled rights from your account. Firstly, apologies for not leaving you a note then but I was preoccupied with cleaning up articles. While the SPI found that you aren't socking, from the evidence presented it is overwhelmingly clear that you are being paid to produce content. In itself, I don't have a problem with paid editing, but you have not disclosed that you are being paid and are introducing inappropriate content. For example, a quick look at two random articles found this which you had previously added as a new article here. After a little googling it's obvious that you paraphrased the company's website e.g. you wrote:

"In 2010, 2011 and 2012 One97 was awarded Organization with Innovative HR Practices by Asia Pacific HRM Congress"

on their website:

"2010 - 2011 & 2012 awarded ‘Organization with Innovative HR Practices’ - Asia Pacific HRM Congress".

That's both promotional, unsourced and a copyright violation. Looking at Mindy Gibbins-Klein there is more unsourced promotional content requiring clean up. I imagine that there are many others that will require hours of our time ensure they comply with core policies.

You having autopatrolled rights makes it easier to introduce problematic content like this as it could be missed at NPP. You have not disclosed any COI, nor responded to any of the community's concerns at COIN or at the SPI, other than this very vague one. I'm afraid that you've lost my trust and as such I had to remove the right. It doesn't appear to be a controversial thing to do given the circumstances - see here. Please be honest with the community both about your previous edits and in your future edits and disclose any COI that you have as required by the terms of use. Thank you SmartSE (talk) 20:45, 21 May 2015 (UTC)

@Smartse:: Thank you for the exhaustive explanation, finally some words with reason. However, you all failed to miss that that I have indeed disclosed my edits; see here, here, here, here, here, here, here, and here. To be honest, I forgot to do so on a few more, but I was probably in a hurry as I'm always, but I plan to to through my articles and do that part, if that is OK with the policies, is it? Other articles are created for the community, because I believed they are notable and have no connections with me whatsoever rather than me writing them. Many of my "problematic" edits (mostly redirects and some minor edits), mentioned in the discussion, come from my page patrols. The problem with my articles is that I often try to paraphrase the source, and reading your message above made me realize it - I will definitely change that in the future. For these 8 years, I have not made a single trouble here (except some content dispute such as this) and I put a lot of efforts to make Wikipedia better and spam-free through my page patrols. SPI proved I use a single account and I stand behind my edits, but I learn every days how to contribute in a better way and all I ask is come appreciation. Thank you. --BiH (talk)

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on International Hedgehog Association requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organization or company, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. SmartSE (talk) 20:33, 24 May 2015 (UTC)
