Hello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to Joe McGinniss may have broken the syntax by modifying 2 "[]"s. If you have, don't worry: just edit the page again to fix it. If I misunderstood what happened, or if you have any questions, you can leave a message on my operator's talk page.

List of unpaired brackets remaining on the page:
  • Faith]]'' and ''Cruel Doubt''. All three books were made into television [[miniseries]], with ''[[Fatal Vision (TV)|Fatal Vision'' and ''[[Blind Faith (1990 film)|Blind Faith]]'' receiving Emmy

David Black Agency and conflict of interest

[edit]
Information icon

Hello Bidbaagency. The nature of your edits gives the impression you have a financial stake in promoting a topic. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being compensated by a person, group, company or organization to use Wikipedia to promote their interests. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not, and is an especially egregious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a black hat practice.
Paid advocates are very strongly discouraged from direct article editing, and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists, and if it does not, from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.
Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:Bidbaagency. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Bidbaagency|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. If you are being compensated, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, please do not edit further until you answer this message. Deli nk (talk) 12:13, 8 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Not David Black Agency. It's Bidba (is a name) and agency like a (silly) amateur detective. Unfortunate likeness to "David Black Agency" but it looks like they sell books? Yesterday's updates to Albom page in reply to concerns that "I find it odd...Not to mention how many times he's won sports writer of the year" and seeing recent news from Albom about MI Hall of Fame. OK. It's quite odd then that all the pages you edit are listed as clients of David Black Agency. Deli nk (talk) 19:49, 8 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Because they are among my favorite authors and I try to keep up with information about them, and their pages were either missing (Assael), or not updated. Abom especially needs work. (McGinniss is, sadly, deceased). I would assume David Black Agency would be editing more clients than 3 than when I have time. I'm not new but not prolific here--is there information I should be avoiding? Bidbaagency (talk) 20:05, 8 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Oh, just saw your note on Shaun Assael. Note came right after so I thought you were referring to that. Assael page needs rehaul because of recent ESPN layoffs Bidbaagency (talk) 13:48, 8 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]
