Your new article

[edit]

There are a number of problems with International Committee on Systematics of Prokaryotes. Firstly it has no references to independent reliable sources. References to the organisation's own website are not independent. Another problem is that at least some of the material appears to have been copied vebatim from http://www.the-icsp.org/ , so you need to read Wikipedia's policy on WP:copyright violation. If you have the authority to do so, the process for the organisation to donate copyrighted material is at WP:donating copyrighted material, but in general it is not recommended to use an organisation's own material for a Wikipedia article as it is often seen to be promotional. Similarly, those with a conflict of interest are discouraged from writing about a subject with which they are connected, for similar reasons. - David Biddulph (talk) 17:14, 13 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Binko100, I saw your request for a 'review' on DragonflySixtyseven's talk page. I was provided with the articles content and decided to tell you my thoughts. The article was deleted because it does not establish its notability. This is because the article does not use reliable sources which assert the articles notability, in addition you used a primary source. While the usage of primary sources within articles are completely fine, they should be avoided. Also your use of an embedded list was not really appropriate, listing the ambitions of a company/organisation should not be included within an article unless they provide extremely helpful information to the article subject or are necessary to establish notability. The lead does not need refs as long as it is supported by the body of the text. Best Doc James (talk · contribs · email) (if I write on your page reply on mine) 15:09, 5 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
