License tagging for Image:BCONRAD.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:BCONRAD.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

Your Editing

[edit]

Hello. I'm finding your edits to the Laguna Beach article very strange. Replacing the paragraph about Tessa with "Tessa will not be in Season 4" borders on vandalism, and the stuff about Breanna being "just a normal girl" until cameras changed her life is written like a fairy tale rather than an encyclopedia article. Your user name pretty much makes it obvious that you have an agenda, and with regard to that agenda I would point you to WP:NOT. If I'm wrong about this, my apologies. Just keep in mind that Wikipedia strives to maintain a neutral point of view. Thanks, --Tractorkingsfan 10:22, 2 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Once again, your edits to this article are inapproprate. You seem highly intent on removing any positive content to the Tessa section and insisting that she WON'T be in season four. If you know this for a fact, you must cite it from a reliable source. Until you can do that, just leave the article alone; it's shitty enough without your biased agenda. --Tractorkingsfan 19:02, 2 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipedia and "encyclopedic tone"

[edit]

Hey there, I wanted to pass on some advice about editing Wikipedia articles. It's important that all the information added is verifiable. There are several ways to verify information, including books, magazine and newspaper articles, etc. Some of your recent additions to Laguna Beach: The Real Orange County are not verified at the moment, and might actually be really hard to find a source for. For instance: "It was fun to watch her sister and friends being filmed and then to watch it on TV. " This isn't very encyclopedic in tone ("it was fun") and it's not verified -- how do we know she thought it was fun? Has she been quoted in a reputable third party source saying so? If we can't source that sort of information, it really shouldn't be added. Also, sentences like "Not long ago, Breanna was just a normal girl living in a beautiful beach city. " are what's called "POV" -- they don't really comply with Wikipedia's policy on neutral point of view. Phrases like "just a normal girl" and "a beautiful beach city" are opinions, and they sound more like entertainment journalism than an encyclopedia article. You might want to read some other articles on similar topics to learn more about tone. Please feel free to ask me any questions you might have. Cheers. Dina 20:05, 2 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Stop Now

[edit]

I'm not an administrator and I think it's lame to threaten people on the internet. But I'll tell you what's going on. You have continually vandalized this page after being clearly told your edits are unacceptable. I have contacted other experienced users and will contact admins to let them decide what to do with you. I have no problem with you as a person, whoever you may be, but this project is about spreading information, not bullshit. That's it. So just don't do it again, and you'll escape being blocked from editing Wikipedia (not by me, but I'm sure by someone). --Tractorkingsfan 00:29, 3 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Question, please respond when you have time

[edit]

Are you Breanna Conrad's publicist or something? A family member? Breanna herself? Wikipedia is not an advertising service, or a soapbox. Edits which do not reflect a neutral point of view, or which make unsourced or unverifiable assertions, will virtually always be deleted, so it's really a waste of time to attempt them. I notice that of your 150+ edits, every single one of them has been to three articles regarding Laguna Beach and Breanna Conrad. Perhaps you should think of reading the information about Wikipedia at the top of your page, and try contributing constructively on other articles. You have a clear agenda with regard to this show and this individual, and I suspect it may be motivated by a conflict of interest. So, please, let me know why you have such a special interest here, and let me know if there is anything I can do helping you start being a good editor. On another note, I have listed you on Wikipedia:Requests for investigation, so any continued editing in violation of policy and guideline will probably result in the loss of your priveleges as an editor. Thank you, --Tractorkingsfan 20:53, 3 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

The two images you are attempting to place into the Laguna Beach article have some kind of problem, they are not going to show up. Can you stop trying to put them there? What is your deal? --Tractorkingsfan 19:11, 9 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

That Image Doesn't Work

[edit]

The image that you keep trying to upload of Breanna, just like the one you have for Tessa, DOESN'T SHOW ANYTHING. You clearly didn't list where the images came from, thus they were deleted, so when you put them there NOTHING SHOWS UP ON THE PAGE. Why is that so difficult for you to understand? I'm beginning to think you are a robot or something, who just sits there and inserts nonsensical prose and blank images and doesn't read any messages anyone leaves them. Is it some great mystery beyond the realm of your understanding why all of your edits are always reverted right away? Is everyone out to get you, or are you possibly doing something wrong? If you could just make a small effort, even half of an effort, to understand the way things work around here, you could contribute to articles to your heart's content and everything would be fine. Again, why is that so hard? --Tractorkingsfan 09:47, 10 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Image Copyright problem
Image Copyright problem

Thank you for uploading Image:Gfd.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. Strangerer (Talk) 22:14, 26 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
