Thank you for improving this image to show the two different types of members in the British Commonwealth. Could you please add Malta in the Meditranian Sea, it is a little island below Sicily that was part of the British Empire and is a Commonwealth Republic. I am in the proccess of convincing users to agree on puting this image on the Commonwealth page but I need to make sure it is complete before anyone sees that mistake. Thanks again. Please respond to this either here or on the Commonwealth discussion page, not at my personal talk page. 99.226.115.81 (talk) 01:10, 16 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

AfD nomination of Pahath-Moab[edit]

I have nominated Pahath-Moab, an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Pahath-Moab. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time. I have nominated Gunnhild Mother of Kings for a featured article review here. Please join the discussion on whether this article meets featured article criteria. Articles are typically reviewed for two weeks. If substantial concerns are not addressed during the review period, the article will be moved to the Featured Article Removal Candidates list for a further period, where editors may declare "Keep" or "Remove" the article's featured status. The instructions for the review process are here. Deacon of Pndapetzim (Talk) 22:53, 21 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Requested correction to Zimmerman Telegram Map[edit]

There is a small flaw in the Zimmerman Telegram Map, (File:Zimmermann map.png) that you created. There should not be a border between Baja California and Baja California Sur since they were one territory in 1917. While there were other territories in Mexico in 1917, they became states without change in border, so other than the border between BC and BCS, the current map of Mexico is appropriate for the image. See File:Mexico_states_evolution.gif for a graphical history of the states of Mexico.

Empire of Brazil[edit]

Hi! I´ve expanded the article Empire of Brazil a lot but it seems that I´m alone doing that. Would you be interested in taking a look and reviewing it? Thank you very much, - --Lecen (talk) 22:37, 19 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I've made a first run at changing your text timeline into a table. Can you take a look and see if you like it? If not, feel free to modify or revert. If the table remains, it will need a sentence or two in prose to introduce it in the section. Karanacs (talk) 16:29, 23 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

File:1880 Warsaw Kuzari.jpg is now available on Wikimedia Commons as Commons:File:1880 Warsaw Kuzari2.jpg. This is a repository of free media that can be used on all Wikimedia wikis. The image will be deleted from Wikipedia, but this doesn't mean it can't be used anymore. You can embed an image uploaded to Commons like you would an image uploaded to Wikipedia, in this case: [[File:1880 Warsaw Kuzari2.jpg]]. Hi,

The maps you made about Khazaria, are they entirely your own work, or did you use some kind of base-map? Could you provide the source of the map, or change the license to self|GFDL? Thank you! Ciell (talk) 11:05, 22 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I am sorry to say that the map you provided for the Turkish empire in 600 is quite false. Tarim and Dzungaria were in the Western Turkish empire, while teh Black sea cost was lost by then —Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.66.47.219 (talk) 20:57, 4 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed deletion of Artinis[edit]

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Artinis, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process.

All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because, even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. WP:Hornbook -- a new WP:Law task force for the J.D. curriculum[edit]

Hi Briangotts/archive 2009,

I'm asking Wikipedians who are interested in United States legal articles to take a look at WP:Hornbook, the new "JD curriculum task force".

Our mission is to assimilate into Wikipedia all the insights of an American law school education, by reducing hornbooks to footnotes.

  • Over the course of a semester, each subpage will shift its focus to track the unfolding curriculum(s) for classes using that casebook around the country.
  • It will also feature an extensive, hyperlinked "index" or "outline" to that casebook, pointing to pages, headers, or {{anchors}} in Wikipedia (example).
  • Individual law schools can freely adapt our casebook outlines to the idiosyncratic curriculum devised by each individual professor.
  • I'm encouraging law students around the country to create local chapters of the club I'm starting at my own law school, "Student WP:Hornbook Editors". Using WP:Hornbook as our headquarters, we're hoping to create a study group so inclusive that nobody will dare not join.

What you can do now:

1. Add WP:Hornbook to your watchlist, {{User Hornbook}} to your userpage, and ~~~~ to Wikipedia:Hornbook/participants.
2. If you're a law student,
(You don't have to start the club, or even be involved in it; just help direct me to someone who might.)
3. Introduce yourself to me. Law editors on Wikipedia are a scarce commodity. Do knock on my talk page if there's an article you'd like help on.
