The article Sean Casten has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, this biography of a living person will be deleted after seven days unless it has at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp/dated}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within seven days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. The article Sean Casten has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

fails WP:NPOL, no evidence of notability outside of candidacy (one pre-2017 article here but otherwise nothing)

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. HasteurBot (talk) 12:01, 13 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

The death of Lutz Long

[edit]

Your edit https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Luz_Long&type=revision&diff=976284452&oldid=975971713 places Lutz Long's death on mainland Italy in the Battle of San Pietro Infine which took place in December 1943. As far as I could gather, you are right in that he did not die in the Biscari massacre, but apparently he was injured very early in the fighting for the Aeroporto di Biscari-Santo Pietro, where the massacre took place the day he died. The German article I referenced has him being injured on July 10, and dying 4 days later in a British Military hospital. The German Wikipedia has another source that I cannot access though, and in the German Wikipedia they have the added detail of him being wounded and left behind when the Germans were retreating, an episode during the fighting that lead to the capture of the Biscari-Santo Pietro airfield and the massacre four days later. So I guess the source pointing to the "Battle of St. Pietro" was referring to this fight over the Biscari-Santo Pietro airfield during the Operation Husky, not the Battle of San Pietro Infine later that year. -- Micge (talk) 19:09, 17 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
