Please bear these points in mind while editing Wikipedia:
- Please respect others' copyrights; do not copy and paste the contents from webpages directly.
- Please use a neutral point of view when editing articles; this is possibly the most important Wikipedia policy.
- If you are testing, please use the Sandbox to do so.
- Do not add unreasonable contents into any articles, such as: copyrighted text, advertisement messages, and text that is not related to an article's subject. Adding such unreasonable information or otherwise editing articles maliciously is considered vandalism, and will result in your account being blocked.
The Wikipedia Tutorial is a good place to start learning about Wikipedia. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my talk page. By the way, you can sign your name on Talk and vote pages using four tildes, like this: ~~~~ (the software will replace them with your signature and the date). Again, welcome! Image:Richard_horowitz.jpg listed for deletion
[edit]If you created this media file and want to use it on Wikipedia, you may re-upload it (or amend the image description if it has not yet been deleted) and use the license {{GFDL-self}} to license it under the GFDL, or {{cc-by-sa-2.5}} to license it under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike license, or use {{PD-self}} to release it into the public domain.
If you did not create this media file but want to use it on Wikipedia, there are two ways to proceed. First, you may choose one of the fair use tags from this list if you believe one of those fair use rationales applies to this file. Second, you may want to contact the copyright holder and request that they make the media available under a free license.
If you have any questions please ask at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you. feydey 18:54, 13 February 2007 (UTC)Image copyright problem with Image:RH2.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:RH2.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.

Notability of Peter Gurnz
[edit]Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Peter Gurnz, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Peter Gurnz seems to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.
To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Peter Gurnz, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. To see the user who deleted the page, click here CSDWarnBot (talk) 20:30, 20 November 2007 (UTC)
I deleted the Peter Gurnz article because it was a bio about a person who seems to have little notability (at least, according to the article) which was written with a distinctly promotional tone. To me, that spells advertising, even if you didn't mean for it to come off that way. If you like, you can review Wikipedia's criteria for speedy deletion at WP:CSD; any page that falls under one of those criteria can be immediately deleted. No worries, though; learning the relevant policies and guidelines takes a bit of time for everyone here!
In the future, when you're constructing a new article, there are two things you can do that will help avoid having the article deleted until you are done. The first is to create the article in your userspace, like this: User:Calalily217/My New Article and work on it until it's ready to go into the main article space. Once you've finished it, you can click the "move" tab at the top and move it into the main article space. Pages in your user space don't fall under the same speedy deletion criteria as articles, so it gives you plenty of time to get the article just right. The other thing that you can do is to place {{underconstruction}} at the top of your new article. That places a message at the top of the article letting other editors and administrators know that you are currently building the article, and to give you some time to finish it. This option should only really be used when it will only take you a couple of hours to build the article. If it will take longer than that, create the article in your user space.
There are a couple of other important things to remember when creating a new article. All articles must assert the notability of their subject; that is, the article must explain why the subject is important enough to being included in an encyclopedia. This guideline can be found at WP:N. Once you've established the notability of the subject, you must cite multiple reliable independent sources in order to prove the notability. These can be books, newspapers, journals, or even reputable websites. Details on how to properly cite sources can be found at WP:CITE and WP:SOURCES. Once you've provided sources, you've fulfilled another key Wikipedia policy: verifiability. All information on Wikipedia must be verifiable through a reliable third-party sources, as an encyclopedia is not the place to publish independent research or thought. This policy can be found at WP:V.
I hope these pointers help you out in the future. In the meantime, I've restored your article to User:Calalily217/Peter Gurnz, which is in your user space, so you can edit it there until you're done. When you finish establishing notability and adding sources for verifiability, you can click "move" and move it back to Peter Gurnz. If you don't have a "move" tab or can't figure out how to move the article back, leave a message on my talk page and I'll help you out with it. Let me know if you have any questions. Happy editing! File source problem with File:Tim myers live.jpg
[edit]Thank you for uploading File:Tim myers live.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the page from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of the website's terms of use of its content. If the original copyright holder is a party unaffiliated with the website, that author should also be credited. Please add this information by editing the image description page.
If the necessary information is not added within the next seven days, the image will be deleted. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.
Please refer to the image use policy to learn what images you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. Please also check any other files you have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Here is a list of your uploads. If you have any questions or are in need of assistance please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. ZioNicco (talk) 16:26, 10 June 2023 (UTC)
