Expanding a stub[edit]

I have information to expand a stub on Nicaragua but I don't understand Wikipedia code or style manual. Who can help me as a tutor? Dvora072096 (talk) 09:48, 18 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hey there, I’m happy to help! Which one is it? Innisfree987 (talk) 16:17, 18 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Hi, it's the Silvio Jose Baez BLP - I don't understand Wikipedia code so I don't know if I'm answering correctly. I am pretty sure that I may be one person who is best situated to help fill in the blanks on the new Silvio Jose Baez stub that you started, and thank you so much for getting that project underway. Nobody else needs to reinvent the wheel because I already have the data from the Spanish BLP, plus more that has been compiled since that date. Spanish Wiki offers 2 different edit pages, English Wiki appears to offer only one. I have zero clue how to learn to code in Wiki and the style manual is "unique". I want to play by the rules and am willing to learn but can't make this my full-time job since I already work for the bishop every day. If I add the content without correct code, who can help me to "clean it up" with correct code? I am trying to provide accurate content for researchers as quickly as possible. I have the content they need, I just don't know how to write in Wiki code. I hope this makes sense. And, thanks again for your offer to help! Dvora072096 (talk) 16:52, 18 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Oh great! I'll be glad to help--and thank you for your offer of help as well as disclosing the connection to the subject. The first thing I'd recommend is to have a read of the link in the welcome notice above on "conflict of interest" policy. The usual suggestion on en-wiki for an editor who has a COI is that they make suggestions on the talk page and then an uninvolved editor can review and add them for neutrality. I think it could work especially well here since I started that entry and would be glad to help expand it. So let's meet over on the talk page and you can help me sort out what should be added. I would definitely appreciate the help--I'm a slow reader in Spanish and an even slower translator, so I really appreciate your assistance in getting some information! Wait, what, where, which talk page? I am so lost. Oh, okay, I think I understand and thanks again for your help! Dvora072096 (talk) 17:57, 18 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Oh yes, I'm sorry I didn't leave you a link: Talk:Silvio José Báez. Innisfree987 (talk) 18:21, 18 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]
