[edit]"Put references into this article from books or web pages".--andreasegde (talk) 16:31, 1 July 2012 (UTC)
You should look at this before you proceed. It clearly states that "Wikipedia articles must not contain original research. The term "original research" (OR) is used on Wikipedia to refer to material—such as facts, allegations, and ideas—for which no reliable, published sources exist." I'm sorry, but unless someone writes about you in an article/book, it can't go in. I personally believe you, but them darn rules is the rules. Sorry.--andreasegde (talk) 17:07, 5 July 2012 (UTC)
- Don't be despondent just yet; I'm going to look in every place I can to see if there is a mention of you.--andreasegde (talk) 17:26, 5 July 2012 (UTC)

The Gospel According to The Beatles
[edit]Good stuff! I don't have the book, but I found the quote that you lived there.--andreasegde (talk) 18:59, 5 July 2012 (UTC) All I am able to put in so far is:
I do have some questions, such as, can you remember a student called Michael Fishwick? and "starting in September 1959, gave John his first........". What did you give John? To answer, just write here, and I will reply.--andreasegde (talk) 19:58, 5 July 2012 (UTC)
Re the name Michael Fishwick, it seems familiar but I don't remember knowing him as a lodger with Mimi.User talk:Cavaleer
And what about, "starting in September 1949, Cavill gave John his first........" ??--andreasegde (talk) 05:04, 6 July 2012 (UTC)
Page 45 of Steve Turners book includes the following paragraph;- One of the lodgers, John Cavill, who lived there for a year starting in September 1949, gave John his first lessons in guitar picking. "I played the piano but Mimi had very little in the way of furnishing and had no piano so I bought a guitar," he says. "John and I used to play tunes together. I hadn't discovered chords, believe it or not. My father had a violin and I had learned to play pizzicato on it, so when I got the guitar I played tunes on the strings and John did the same."User talk:Cavaleer
Mimi dates
[edit]Just out of interest, what is your source for the date changes? Britmax (talk) 10:08, 6 July 2012 (UTC)
- You will have realized that I was Mimi's Lodger in 1949-50 from the info you already have. I knew the students who were there in 1948 ( one of them was a veterinary student friend of mine). I also knew from what Mimi told me that she had student lodgers earlier than that. Before 1947? I'm not sure.User talk:Cavaleer
- I'm confused now, so I'll check Turner's book again, and correct the article.--andreasegde (talk) 10:36, 6 July 2012 (UTC) Fixed, except for Keith Capron.--andreasegde (talk) 10:42, 6 July 2012 (UTC)
