I am not sure I understand the logic behind this edit. Can you please clarify why you are adding duplicate images of the stadium and introducing red link (G.M.C Balayogi Athletic Stadium) to the article ? Abecedare 04:26, 6 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah, reason being, the stadium presently being showed as Lal Bahadur stadium is incorrect. It is actually the G.M.C Balayogi Athletic stadium, which is on the outskirts of the city(Gachibowli area). The picture which i have uploaded is the Lal Bahadur Stadium. I will give u some reasons for it- 1)As you can see in my picture the flood lights support is a grid like structure, and not a single pole as shown in the present picture (single pole structures are the latest). G.M.C Balayogi stadium has these latest structures. 2)Secondly, Lal Bahadur Stadium is situated in the heart of the city with buildings around it, whereas the present picture doesnt have any. Reason being that stadium is situated on the outskirts. 3)A cricket stadium will usually be circular in structure, whereas the present picture is not. Lal Bahadur Stadium is a Cricket stadium. G.M.C Balayogi Stadium is an Athletic stadium used for Atheletics and thus it bears shape of that kind.

This is the reason i have renamed the picture to G.M.C Balayogi stadium, and i have inserted the actual picture of Lal Bahadur Shastri Stadium. So...no duplicate images. Cephas 405 04:45, 6 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for the clarification! I don't think we should include two stadium images on the Hyderabad page since that puts undue weight on this aspect of the city. If you had to pick one, which image would you pick based upon the importance of the stadium and the quality of the photograph itself ? Cheers. Abecedare 04:54, 6 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The one i have uploaded looks better giving an inner view of the lush green stadium, and also because of its background city skyline.Cephas 405 05:01, 6 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Ok. Your choice is fine with me (although I would have preferred the photograph without the light towers in the foreground), and so I have commented out the other image. Thanks for your contributions and welcome to wikipedia ! Abecedare 05:07, 6 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

What happened to the picture i uploaded yesterday? but, now two stadiums are being shown, which you said were not appropriate or undue weightage or something?Cephas 405 10:50, 7 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Image sizes[edit]

According to wikipedia Manual of style we should not specify or hardcode image sizes in articles, except when there is a specific good reason for doing so (for example, in the article's infobox). Also note that though the images may be appearing small on your screen that may simply be because of the user preferences you have selected (look under "my preferences"->"Files"). I think you are making some good improvements to the Hyderabad article, and I thought I'd stop by to explain this issue which you may not be aware of. If you have any comments or questions, please feel free to ask them here or on my talk page and keep up the good work! Regards. Abecedare 06:04, 13 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

License tagging for Image:Secbad rly stn.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Secbad rly stn.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 06:12, 14 September 2007 (UTC)

Ramoji Film City[edit]

Hi, I noticed that you have added the much needed images to this article. I was wondering if you had any image for the Entrance that can be used in the Info Box. Please ping me if you do. Thanks for your efforts! P.S.: I forgot and initially added this comment in your user page. My apologies for that. Mspraveen 04:09, 8 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Good that you have the entrance image. If you are not aware of how to crop and add it to the info box, I can do it. Also, I couldn't help but notice the positioning of the images. If you don't mind, maybe you can position and resize the images. Also, consistency of the number of images and the text has to be there. Undue weight or unnecessary images maybe hinder the quality progress of the article.
Maybe you can consider adding more content for the article and finding a few references for it. I'd love to collaborate with someone on this. If interested, we can make this into a good quality article. Mspraveen 14:06, 8 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hyd[edit]

Just so you know, a paranoma image is not encyclopedic for the history section. I agree that the new chowmall image is much more colorful and i actually like the paranoma, but it is inappropriate in the article. It suits well in the attractions section. Paranomas are not supposed to be used in sections. Also, the church is not significant structure in terms of culture. There are thousands of schools, churches, temples, mosques, and other places of worship in the city. And they have all trained millions of people over the last century. Unfortunately, we can not have an image of every church, temple, school, and mosque. The mosque image is proof of hyderabad's islamic past. Everything in hyd has been influenced by islam. It is only appropriate to have an islamic image in the history of hyderabad since the city was heavily influenced by islam. I am not looking to compete with you. I have been improving the hyderabad article for over a year. I looking to have great images on the site which acurately show hyderabad. Nikkul (talk) 21:38, 7 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Happy collaborating[edit]

Hey Cephus, I'm glad that i finally have someone who i can collaborate with. Yeah i've been doing a lot of stuff on Hyderabad suburbs apart from other Hyderabad related stuff. Add more pictures and I'm sure you must be noticed there are heaps of other suburbs which are not yet there. so lets do our bit, the only thing is that im not in the country right now, so will do what i can Randhirreddy 02:38, 26 February 2008 (UTC)

Nice pictures[edit]

Hey cephus, The pictures that you have added are really great. I've created Ravindra Bharathi article and included your picture. Also, i added Laad Bazaar picture in that particular article. It'll great if you can add pictures to the respective articles also, if not create a new article. While naming the images, pls see to it that its the full name of the picture. It'll be easy for people searching for images on Wikimedia. Cheers!Randhirreddy 02:51, 8 March 2008 (UTC)

No Wikimania for me[edit]

No cephus, i'm not gonna attend, since it costs way to much to go to Alexandria. Yeah better if you can just have the whole description in the picture file. Since someone might search for them. Cheers!

Great picture[edit]

Hey Cephus, this is a great picture, i've added it to the Andhra Pradesh High Court article. Great work once again, Cheers!

Picture of Rythu bazaar[edit]

Hey cephus, i've created an article on Rythu bazaar the other day, and there is discussion going on about its relevance, you can read thru the discussion. BTW i was wondering if you have a picture of it, if not can you get one whenever it is possible, no hurry though. Cheers!

Perfect[edit]

Hey Cephus, good work man. But if you were to merge it into Farmers market, it gets diluted, since this has its uniqueness and we cannot maintain comprehensive information about the locations etc. So it should, ideally, get a mention in that article but this should remain as a separate article. Do ya, by any chance, have a picture of the entrance where the name is written, just wondering. Also, I've started Rashtrapati Nilayam article, do ya have the picture of it. Dude, there are heaps of suburbs not covered as yet, i want to get down doing as many as i can. There are very few whom we can collaborate with regards to expanding quality information on Hyderabad, but pictures i feel are very very important. Cheers! Randhirreddy 01:23, 1 April 2008 (UTC)

Good work[edit]

Hey Cephas, Its nice to see you add pics, really good ones. Coz "A picture speaks thousand words", and the quality of pics is also great. I've replaced your picture in MMTS, Hyderabad article too. I did work on Park View Enclave, Secunderabad, so ideally all the suburbs of Hyderabad give the information and be comprehensive. Keep up the good work Randhirreddy 08:28, 15 April 2008 (UTC)

Spacing[edit]

Cephus, if you look at the article in Wikipedia, you'll not find spacing like that. So it'll be better if you can refer the best articles and then deciding, otherwise spacing would compromise readability. cheers! Randhirreddy 08:42, 15 April 2008 (UTC)

More information[edit]

Hi Cephas, I've started article on St.Theresa's hospital, Hyderabad, see if you can expand this article with some of your local knowledge, Cheers! Randhirreddy 14:01, 16 April 2008 (UTC)

Hello[edit]

Hey Cephas, You're back after long absence. i'm just doing my editing mostly on Hyderabad related articles, and sometimes on others too. Your contribution of Pictures is really commendable. I always look forward for any pics that gives any article much more depth and credibility. Cheers! Randhirreddy 00:45, 27 May 2008 (UTC)

Image addition to Hyderabad article[edit]

Hello. How're you doing? Quite specific to your recent edit to Hyderabad article, I felt that the image is highly blurred and it is a night image. I believe that this doesn't add much encyclopedic value. Would you be having some images as taken on a clear day from Golkonda Fort/Jubilee Hills. I believe that one of those would really be good. Thoughts? Mspraveen (talk) 16:08, 8 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Re:India[edit]

Hey buddy, STOP additions to India article. You need to discuss prior editing the article so hugely. Please open a new section of Talk:India before you directly edit the article. I hope you take this message in good faith. It's an advise. --gppande «talk» 16:06, 9 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi! Just saw your recent edit to India in which you added info about sports. Sports in India is in a bad shape. Can you improve this article too? KnowledgeHegemonyPart2 12:09, 11 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hello[edit]

Hey Cephas, Thanks for the kind words. For me, Wikipedia is more a noble thing more than anything else. I contribute where ever i find things lacking. Coming to your suggestion, i rather stick with the general standards and conventions of Wikipedia rather than use my own heading. Bowenpally, i worked only on the some content and general stuff. Yeah good pics on anything, more so about suburbs are welcome. You're a good photographer. I really appreciate your contributions too. Cheers! Randhirreddy 19:31, 8 September 2008 (UTC)

NowCommons: Image:Hsagar.JPG[edit]

Image:Hsagar.JPG is now available on Wikimedia Commons as Commons:Image:Hussain sagar hyd.jpg. This is a repository of free media that can be used on all Wikimedia wikis. The image will be deleted from Wikipedia, but this doesn't mean it can't be used anymore. You can embed an image uploaded to Commons like you would an image uploaded to Wikipedia, in this case: [[Image:Hussain sagar hyd.jpg]]. File:SRnagar umeshchandra.jpg is now available as Commons:File:SRnagar umeshchandra.jpg. --Erwin85Bot (talk) 12:11, 7 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Cephas, How are you doing? Your edits are particularly good on Secunderabad with lot of accurate information. But as you would notice, most of the suburbs pictures are still not added. It'll be great if you can add them. Your pics on Hussain Sagar are very good. See what you can do. cheers Randhirreddy 13:24, 1 October 2008 (UTC)

A tag has been placed on File:Tankbund.JPG requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image is an unused redundant copy (all pixels the same or scaled down) of an image in the same file format, which is on Wikipedia (not on Commons), and all inward links have been updated.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines.
