Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. The following links will help you begin editing on Wikipedia:

Please bear these points in mind while editing Wikipedia

The Wikipedia tutorial is a good place to start learning about Wikipedia. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my talk page. By the way, you can sign your name on Talk and discussion pages using four tildes, like this: ~~~~ (the software will replace them with your signature and the date). Again, welcome! "Jr."s, "III"s, and so forth

[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia! I see that you are "correcting" the punctuation associated with post-name generational designators. Be aware that Wikipedia has a style manual with a provision specifically covering this issue, MOS:JR. "Edward Bridge Danson III" was actually the correctly punctuated version of Ted Danson's birth name in Wikipedia style; "Edward Bridge Danson, III." has two errors (the comma after "Danson", which is discouraged by MOS:JR, and the period after "III", which isn't an abbreviation and so there's no need for an abbreviation point). Your attention to detail is definitely appreciated; please just have a look through the Manual of Style to see whether there's a sitewide procedure before you start making a lot of changes. I'll be the first one to admit there's a lot to learn here; don't be discouraged! You can always ask the WP:TEAHOUSE editors questions about the MOS or markup conventions.
