License tagging for File:DJOREAR.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:DJOREAR.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.
For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 18:09, 4 January 2009 (UTC)

welcome, colleague
[edit]Glad to see another librarian join us here. you may be interested in the Wikipedia:WikiProject Librarians. The rules here about the use of images and other things also are a little peculiar, and not all the consistent, but there are a lot of good things to do. For one thing, you might want to work at the WP:Reference Desk -- it's even better than the real world, because you can pick what you want to answer. or help people find sources. Or of course write or improve articles on whatever you are interested in. Of all those pages in the welcome message above, above, I'd start with our guide to writing Wikipedia articles. Also see the two excellent books on writing for Wikipedia that have recently appeared: Broughton, John. Wikipedia: The Missing Manual. The missing manual. Cambridge: O'Reilly, 2008, ISBN 9780596515164, (available online at http://safari.oreilly.com) and Ayers, Phoebe, Charles Matthews, and Ben Yates. How Wikipedia Works: And How You Can Be a Part of It. San Francisco: No Starch Press, 2008 ISBN 9781593271763 (http://www.nostarch.com) -- that second one's principal author is also a librarian. DGG (talk) 03:48, 6 January 2009 (UTC)
File copyright problem with File:DJOREAR.jpg
[edit]Thank you for uploading File:DJOREAR.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link.
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. -- lucasbfr talk 23:11, 7 January 2009 (UTC)
- I am so sorry, the subject of the biography apparently objects to the article and image being used (hence the deletion discussion that was started). If you know him personally, I suggest you bring the matter with him. Sorry again! -- lucasbfr talk 09:42, 8 January 2009 (UTC)

[edit]Welcome, and thank you for experimenting with Wikipedia. Your test on the page Dennis O'Rear worked, and it has been reverted or removed. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. If you would like to experiment further, please use the sandbox. Thank you. We don't put the image licence on the page the image is being used in; we only need to put it on the image page itself. I thought I had explained what you needed to do on my talk page a few days ago. ww2censor (talk) 00:07, 8 January 2009 (UTC)
AfD nomination of Dennis O'Rear
[edit]I have nominated Dennis O'Rear, an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Dennis O'Rear. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time.
