Hello Curationandcomm. The nature of your edits gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being compensated by a person, group, company or organization to use Wikipedia to promote their interests. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not, and is an especially serious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to black-hat search-engine optimization.

Paid advocates are very strongly discouraged from direct article editing, and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists. If the article does not exist, paid advocates are extremely strongly discouraged from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.

Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:Curationandcomm. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Curationandcomm|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, do not edit further until you answer this message. 331dot (talk) 10:51, 20 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Managing a conflict of interest

[edit]

Information icon Hello, Curationandcomm. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on the page Genting Group, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.

Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. Justanothersgwikieditor (talk) 08:13, 20 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there, please stop editing Genting Group page directly as you most likely have a COI with the company. Regardless you have a COI with the company or not, it will be best to declare are you related to the company at all or not. Thanks! Justanothersgwikieditor (talk) 08:27, 20 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there, please note that your account name violates Wikipedia's username policy and also violated the COI guideline. I will not be contacting you via email but please do read up on both WP:USERNAME policy and WP:COI guideline. Thanks. Justanothersgwikieditor (talk) 09:27, 20 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Second warning on copyright violation. Don't copy your own press release here. You are:
1. Expected to rewrite and support the rewrite with third party, independent sources rather than copy and pasting your press release.
2. Use the {{Request edit}} template on the article's talk page to request a non-COI editor to assist you in putting the information out.
3. For further clarifications, most of us here prefer open communications on the article page.
Thanks. – robertsky (talk) 09:54, 20 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia. I noticed that your username, "Curationandcomm", may not meet Wikipedia's username policy because the name appears to represent a group rather than a single individual. Please request a username change before editing again.. If you believe that your username does not violate our policy, please leave a note here explaining why. As an alternative, you may ask for a change of username by completing the form at Special:GlobalRenameRequest, or you may simply create a new account for editing. Thank you. --Hammersoft (talk) 17:18, 20 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there, please note that if you continue to edit using this account without changing your username, it will likely be blocked. Do request for a change of username as outlined above or create a new account for editing. Thanks! Justanothersgwikieditor (talk) 09:55, 27 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
