Toyota Mark X
[edit]Thank you for your recent edits to Toyota Mark X. Wikipedia requires that we get our content from reliable, second party sources (typically books, magazine articles and reliable web sources, see WP:RELIABLE) but we must say it in our own words. But your changes copied a lot of content word-for-word from http://deminicinc.blogspot.com.au/2013/02/toyota-mark-x-for-sale-in-singapore.html . Could you:
- rephrase it in your own words,
- add citations (see Help:Referencing for beginners and template:cite web) and
- correct the spelling and grammar (eg 'swap', not 'swop' and '2GR-FSE', not '2gr-fse').

- None of the information was taken from that site, most of the info was taken directly from the Toyota Web site or the Mark X Japanese Wiki page. Or what info I have learned from my own Mark X. Cuts205 4 October 2013
- You also changed spelling from US style to Australian style. Wikipedia has no preferred dialect of English but once an article has a dominant style (typically by the original editor) it should remain in that style. The Mark X article was written with US spelling, so it should remain in US spelling. Otherwise edit wars happen where two editors change back and forth between the correct spelling. See WP:ENGVAR for the full policy.
- Reading back over this page, while it might seem that we're picking on you a bit, we're really just trying to educate a new user on the sometimes hard to understand intricacies of editing Wikipedia. We really do want you to be a productive editor. By the way, my interests are similar to yours, since I'm also a Celica nut (first-third gens) and a Cressida/Mark II nut (MX73). No dramas, I'm new to editing as myself, over the years its only been bits here and there. No stress, I still haven't got my head around inserting pictures yet.
Props on the site too, good info there.
I understand the spelling issues, naturally when I start editing my computer pics up the errors, I'll try to keep that in mind.

Toyota Celica
[edit]The TA63 Celica GT-T is not Celica XX. I've previously owned two TA63 GT-TR Celicas, while granted they are not the Celica XX both mine had Celica XX badges on the B pillar trim, and from the research I've found from Japan it seems it's a common thing. The ST185 Celica GT-Four A was not only available in Grey Metallic & Black, but also in other colors such as Super Red, Super White & Pearl Red. Automatic air-con, Grey leather seats, and Cruise control are optional. All this information are from JDM brochure printed in August 1990. Celica21gtfour 05:16, 4 October 2013.

- The above paragraph was originally inserted into the top paragraph, making it look like Celica21gtfour had typed it. Changing another editor's comment on a talk page is seriously frowned on becuase it can be used to completely change what an editor's opinion appears to be. So I separated it out. - 'Celica XX' always meant the 6 cylinder variant of the Celica, which was known as the 'Celica Supra' in most non-Japanese markets. But since the Celica and Celica XX liftbacks share the same rear body, it's trivial for owners to swap the badges. I did similar things with badges in my early years (eg put GT badges on base model cars). We would need more than anecdotal evidence to say that the TA63 GT-TR came from the factory with XX badges.
