Thank You. It would be great to know an approximate time frame as to when my request will be looked into. Is it possible to check whether I have posted the request correctly in the "Requested Article for profit companies" page? Dakshina.maratt (talk) 20:08, 30 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

These requests are acted upon by volunteers; there's no way to predict when your request will catch an editor's fancy. Unfortunately low-profile companies are not all that popular a topic, so it may well take quite some time. Huon (talk) 20:36, 30 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, I have requested for an article on the "Requested Article for profit companies" page. When and how do I get to know whether someone has created an article on the company, Speridian Technologies, with reference to all the details and external links I have provided?

Dakshina.maratt (talk) 19:07, 30 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

You can tell if the article is created by searching for it; however, it will take a long time, since there are a lot of requested articles and only a few people going through them.
Somebody might decide to put a message here if/when it's created. --I dream of horses If you reply here, please leave me a {{Talkback}} message on my talk page. @ 19:50, 30 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

After I save the article, how do I make sure a wikipedia editor aprroves it or not? Anything I should add like 'help me' here to catch their attention

You should put your article back into the sandbox and type in {{subst:submit}}. --I dream of horses @ 19:37, 6 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

where do I add this? At the end of the article or beginning?

That doesn't really matter; I'd put it at the very top, but the end will also do. Huon (talk) 20:02, 6 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks.

Should I run it through editors at talk page before I submit, to get good feedback? If so, how do I do this?

If you get rejected, you'll be told why. You can also go to #wikipedia-en-help connect if you want your article to be checked before you submit it. --I dream of horses If you reply here, please leave me a {{Talkback}} message on my talk page. @ 20:38, 6 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks.

If I submit the page and it gets approved, can I still come back and make edits to the article?

Yes. So can other people. --I dream of horses If you reply here, please leave me a {{Talkback}} message on my talk page. @ 22:31, 6 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I am getting this message when I preview my article. Please help. I have added reflist at the top and under the reference list at the end. Cite error: There are <ref> tags on this page, but the references will not show without a {{reflist}} template (see the help page).

This is my page: https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Speridian_Technologies&action=submit

So much for creating a draft in your sandbox and submitting it for review... The {{reflist}} template is meant to display the footnotes, it should not itself be put into a footnote.
Unfortunately I had to delete the article because it copied its sources at length, word by word - a copyright violation. It also sounded extremely promotional, and I don't think even you could explain what a "multi-vertical portfolio of solution accelerators" is supposed to be. I'm pretty sure that was not about solutions. Huon (talk) 22:51, 6 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

Hi, I had requested for an article on the "Requested Article for profit companies" page few months ago. Till now there has been no response about creating an article on the company, Speridian Technologies, with reference to all the references and external links I have provided? Could someone please help regarding this? I thought wikipedia is a space for both small and large companies/people.

Thank You!

Hi, if you look at Wikipedia:Requested articles/Business and economics/Companies, you will notice that there are hundreds of requested articles on the list. Wikipedia is volunteer-based, so it will take time, and possibly a LOT of time before an editor might find this company, become interested in it, perform the research required to write the article, and then write the article. (These things don't happen by magic, you know. ) The article has been deleted three times prior for 1) Failing to establish the notability of the company. 2) Unambiguous advertising and promotion, and 3) Unambiguous copyright infringement: from http://articles.timesofindia.indiatimes.com/2013-09-02/software-services/41688180_1_cmmi-level-standard-cmmi-appraisal-method-capability-maturity-model-integration and another source. Now, the notability guidelines for companies are at WP:NCORP. So, with the knowledge of why the article was deleted, and with the notability guidelines, you can either attempt to create the article yourself through the Articles for Creation process, or you can wait for the article to be created, which may or may not happen for a long time.
