Hello DanMaxArturo. The nature of your edits gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being compensated by a person, group, company or organization to use Wikipedia to promote their interests. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not, and is an especially serious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to black-hat search-engine optimization.

Paid advocates are strongly discouraged from direct article editing, and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists. If the article does not exist, paid advocates are strongly discouraged from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.

Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:DanMaxArturo. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=DanMaxArturo|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, do not edit further until you answer this message. 331dot (talk) 12:39, 7 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I am not a paid advocate, directly or indirectly, for the person about whom the profile page is about (Elizabeth Savage). Elizabeth is a former colleague who wishes to have her own wikipedia page to help with her social media presence. I agreed to help her where I was able.
Elizabeth's biography, career, publications, qualifications etc. all have citations available. DanMaxArturo (talk) 13:10, 7 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
While you are not paid, you do have a conflict of interest you will need to formally disclose- please read the conflict of interest policy.
You will need to submit your draft for review by clicking the "submit your draft for review" button now located at the top of your draft.
It is preferred to use the narrower term "article" to refer to the content of the encyclopedia instead of the broader term "page". The wishes of a potential article subject are- frankly- not relevant as to whether or not an article exists about them. A subject cannot grant or deny permission for an article or exclusively dictate what appears in one. There are good reasons to not want an article about one's self.
Wikipedia also has no interest in the internet or social media "presence" of a person(furthermore Wikipedia is not social media). Our only interest is if an article summarizes what independent reliable sources with significant coverage have chosen on their own to say about a person, showing how they meet the special Wikipedia definition of a notable person. While I haven't fully reviewed it, it seems to read more like a resume and less like an encyclopedia article. Wikipedia articles are not meant to merely document activities and accomplishments- they should tell what independent sources consider to be important about a person. If Dr. Savage has won awards, the article should primarily focus on that. 331dot (talk) 13:20, 7 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I have added the COI template to the page. If this has been done incorrectly, please let me know.
In the meantime, may I continue to edit the draft so I can add in the independent reliable sources to make the case of the person being notable?
This is, after all, a drafting process. Once an experience editor takes a look, I'm sure they will be able to advise further on format, content and presentation and whether the article meets Wikipedia's standards to be published. DanMaxArturo (talk) 14:36, 7 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I see where you attempted to add it, but did not do so correctly; you need to add {{UserboxCOI|1=Wikipedia article name}} (as it appears here, not in the edit window) to your user page(User:DanMaxArturo).
You then should add {{Connected contributor|User1=DanMaxArturo |U1-declared=yes}} to the draft talk page(User talk:DanMaxArturo/sandbox).
Once that's all done, I can move the draft to Draft space with an actual title if you wish. You are welcome to continue editing the draft; you will need to submit it for a review when you feel it is ready. 331dot (talk) 15:11, 7 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks. I think I've added it now.
If you could move it to the draft space with a correct title, that would be greatly appreciated. DanMaxArturo (talk) 16:47, 7 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
The draft is now located at Draft:Elizabeth Savage (historian). If that title's not exactly right, you can leave a note on the draft talk page for the reviewers to see; if they accept it, they will place it at the proper title. The draft doesn't need to be renamed.
For future reference, while you can create drafts in your sandbox, the best place to do so is via the Article Wizard which will place them in draft space. 331dot (talk) 16:56, 7 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
