Seriously? I think that removal I've what I'd posted was lousy and petty, considering they were just small scale public transport logos which get used and displayed on many other Wikipedia pages and search results, from my observations.

Sorry for any confusion. To clarify, images of logos are allowed on Wikipedia articles, even if you upload them yourself, but there are conditions.
Because you uploaded them to Wikimedia Commons, you imply that you own the copyright to the image(s) uploaded, and that you as the presumed copyright holder, release the image(s) into the public domain. As a result, Commons policy is that these image(s) need to be deleted, because they are likely not to be in the public domain, and you as the uploader, imply that you own the copyright to them, which is unlikely. If you would like to reupload these image(s), you need to upload them to Wikipedia, not Commons, and properly attribute the state government as the copyright holder, and state why your image(s) are fair use.
