Speedy deletion nomination of Draft:Nick Rose Dertsas
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Draft:Nick Rose Dertsas, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. creffett (talk) 00:00, 8 September 2019 (UTC)
Conflict of interest
[edit]Hello, Davidmzd. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a COI may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the COI guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:
- avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, company, organization or competitors;
- propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{request edit}} template);
- disclose your COI when discussing affected articles (see WP:DISCLOSE);
- avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see WP:Spam);
- do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.
In addition, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation (see WP:PAID).
Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. – Athaenara ✉ 01:32, 8 September 2019 (UTC)

Davidmzd (block log • active blocks • global blocks • contribs • deleted contribs • filter log • creation log • change block settings • unblock • checkuser (log))
Request reason:
I understand why I was blocked and it was not my intention to create self promotion or spam. I have re-written the article in an effort to make it more encyclopedic and objective.
Decline reason:
No thanks. Yamla (talk) 16:56, 28 September 2019 (UTC)
If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.
You aren't going to be unblocked to continue to edit about Nick Rose, other clients, or anything related to your conflict of interest. Is there anything else that you want to edit about? 331dot (talk) 20:56, 10 September 2019 (UTC)
- I would just like a more in depth explanation. I have re-written the article to show no bias. I have read the guidelines. I understand that it says due COI editors are encouraged to not make direct edits and just post suggestions on the talk page. What's the case if an article for that person does not exist? Second is this also due to the sources ? I just want to know the details.— Preceding unsigned comment added by Davidmzd (talk • contribs)
- New articles can be created using Articles for Creation. However, you client's claim to notability seems to be based on the fact that celebrities retweeted one of his tweets. Please review notability is not inherited(by association). This is not sufficient. His business career does not seem to have the coverage in independent reliable sources to merit an article(or at least, in the sources you have provided). The draft reads as if it were something Mr. Rose would have on his social media accounts or personal website.
- You (and he) should be aware that a Wikipedia article is not necessarily desirable. There are good reasons to not want one. Any information, good or bad, can be in an Wikipedia article as long as it appears in an independent reliable source. You cannot lock it to the text Mr. Rose might prefer to have, prevent others from editing it, or exclusively dictate what appears there.
- By the way please click "edit" at the top of the page or next to the section header; clicking "new section" introduces unnecessary formatting. 331dot (talk) 08:40, 12 September 2019 (UTC)
