Welcome to Wikipedia. I saw how you edited or created Lexington School and Center for the Deaf, and I noticed that the username you have chosen, "LexingtonNYC", seems to imply that you are editing on behalf of something other than yourself. Please note that you may not edit on behalf of a company, group, institution, product, or website, and Wikipedia does not allow usernames that are promotional or have the appearance of shared use. If you are willing to use a personal account, please take a moment to create a new account or request a username change that represents only yourself as an individual. You should also read our conflict of interest guideline and remember that promotional editing is not acceptable regardless of the username you choose. If you believe that your username does not violate our policy, please leave a note here explaining why. Thank you. --Drm310 (talk) 17:25, 18 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks

[edit]

Hi. Thanks for starting the ball rolling on Lexington School and Center for the Deaf. I was drawn to it by a few cleanup tags and have attempted to address them. I can't believe that we didn't have an article on this before. :/ You're aware from the above that if you are connected to the school you really shouldn't edit that article, but if you by any chance have an interest in improving coverage in the area where you don't have connection you would be most welcome! The fact that we don't get an article on a topic as important as that one until December 2012 reflects, I think, the need we have for editors in the area. Anyway, if you feel like coming aboard, you might want to review five pillars for a quick overview of our basic policies. I've dropped a "welcome mat" at the top of your page that I myself found very useful when I started editing years ago. :) We have a fairly new WP:TEAHOUSE as well where you can go to get feedback and more information from friendly fellow editors. Cheers. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 16:26, 2 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]
