I have added a "{{prod}}" template to the article Mark Ryckman, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but I don't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and I've explained why in the deletion notice (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). Please either work to improve the article if the topic is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia, or, if you disagree with the notice, discuss the issues at its talk page. Removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, but the article may still be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached, or if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria. This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Public Safety Spectrum Trust, and it appears to include a substantial copy of http://www.psst.org/about.jsp. This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. CorenSearchBot (talk) 00:51, 23 April 2010 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of New York State City/County Management Association
[edit]A tag has been placed on New York State City/County Management Association requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organization or company, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for organizations and companies. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. List of Famous Brewers
[edit]I think people would enjoy a listing of famous brewers. I owuld be willing to work on it, if somebody will help me. It could be its own wiki page or added to the bottom of the Beer or Brewing pages. User:Echo-two 00:43, 23 April 2010
- It's a notion worth thinking about. Brewers are currently organised via the category system, which doesn't appeal to everyone. Some people prefer lists - see Wikipedia:Categories, lists, and navigation templates for a useful discussion on the matter. There are several difficulties with the notion that would need working on. One is that there are thousands of breweries, which makes creating, maintaining and navigating such a list difficult. The other is the criteria for inclusion. Your initial suggestion uses the term "Famous", which is a vague and subjective term. WikiProject Beer have discussed the notion of inclusion criteria, and based on those discussions I created WP:Breweries, which sums up the consensus of the criteria we came up with - which largely amounts to: If there is enough material from reliable sources to create a standalone article on a brewery, then do so; if there isn't, then either write about the brewery in the appropriate settlement article, or don't write about it at all. If you'd like to continue with this discussion, then I suggest you drop a note on the project talkpage. SilkTork *YES! 12:25, 24 April 2010 (UTC)
