Hi, since you are related to the composer, I'd direct your attention to wikipedia's conflict of interest policies regarding the best-practices to follow. You can read the linked page for details, but I'll note for now that there is no prohibition to your suggesting improvements or raising concerns at the article talkpage or other venues, especially if you declare your conflict upfront.
