Copyright
[edit]I have deleted User:Elite Talent because it was copied from http://www.imdb.com/name/nm8222826/bio?ref_=nm_ov_bio_sm. Wikipedia cannot accept copied material without a formal copyright release from the actual copyright owner. Please read Wikipedia:Copying text from other sources.
Material written for other purposes is not often suitable for an encyclopedia article, being usually too promotional in tone. Also, a Wikipedia article needs references showing "significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the subject" to establish Wikipedia:Notability. See also WP:NACTOR and WP:Notability (summary).
There is good advice at WP:Your first article. Your user page is not the place to draft an article, being intended (if you choose) to give information about you in the context of your Wikipedia activities. It is not intended as a social-network style personal webpage or a place for a blog or autobiography, or anything not connected with the encyclopedia project. This is explained in more detail at WP:User pages and WP:NOTWEBHOST.
The best way to draft an article is by using WP:Articles for creation to guide you through the process. JohnCD (talk) 22:15, 26 November 2016 (UTC)
Your username
[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia. I noticed that your username, "Elite Talent", may not meet Wikipedia's username policy because Wikipedia accounts must be for individuals only, who are personally responsible for them, and accounts whose usernames are the names of groups or organizations are not permitted. If you believe that your username does not violate our policy, please leave a note here explaining why. As an alternative, you may ask for a change of username by completing this form, or you may simply create a new account for editing.
Your username may be based on your real name, or not, as you choose (see WP:REALNAME for some considerations), but it should not be the name of any other living person. A username of the form "James at Elite" would be acceptable, and would serve to declare your affiliation.
Also, Wikipedia is not a place for people or organizations to "tell the world" about themselves or their clients. If you represent Elite Talent or a similar agency then, even with an individual username, in editing about your clients you would have, from Wikipedia's point of view, a Wikipedia:Conflict of interest, and should read that page and the Wikipedia:Plain and simple conflict of interest guide. Note in particular you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's Terms of Use ("Paid contributions without disclosure" under section 4) to disclose your interest in any edits for which you expect to receive remuneration. March 2020
[edit]Your username is the only reason for this block. You are welcome to choose a new username (see below) and continue editing.A username should not be promotional, appear to represent a "real-world" group or organization, misleading, offensive or disruptive. Also, usernames may not end in the word "bot" unless the account is an approved bot account. However, you are permitted to use a username that contains the name of a company or organization if it identifies you individually, such as "Sara Smith at XYZ Company", "Mark at WidgetsUSA", or "FoobarFan87". You are encouraged to choose a new account name that meets our policy guidelines and create the account yourself. Alternatively, if you have already made edits and you wish to keep your existing contributions under a new name, then you may request a change in username by:
- Adding
{{unblock-un|your new username here}}
below. You should be able to do this even though you are blocked, as you can usually still edit your own talk page. If not, you may wish to contact the blocking administrator by clicking on "Email this user" on their talk page. - At an administrator's discretion, you may be unblocked for 24 hours to file a request.
- Please note that you may only request a name that is not already in use, so please check here for a listing of already taken names. The account is created upon acceptance, thus do not try to create the new account before making the request for a name change. For more information, please see Wikipedia:Changing username.
- Adding
{{unblock|Your reason here}}
below this notice, but you should read our guide to appealing blocks first.
