Edits to Email Marketing
[edit]Hello,
Ooops. Yes, you're right. I'll put that back, unless you get it put back before I do. Thanks for pointing that out. --Mdwyer 22:45, 29 May 2007 (UTC)
Hello, When making edits to articles, do not sign your name using the four tildes (~). This feature is meant to be on talk pages only, that is the discussion pages about an article or user (for example this one). Thanks! TheFearow 02:53, 17 May 2007 (UTC)
Greetings, I have to be vary carefully how I put this, so sorry if it doesn't make much sense... I work for the Council, so I have to be careful not to remove the criticism myself. The user who added that section initially did it with a lot of Point of View issues (They appear to have been one of the residents effected) and their only contributions to the wikipedia have been that section. I think they were mainly just trying to get publicity, but I cannot remove it myself (But I did tone down the NPOV issues). Now, Personally I don't believe that the issues are notable enough to be there, so if you feel led by all means remove them. Fosnez (talk) 10:01, 18 January 2008 (UTC)
Oh, one other thing.. when adding a new topic to talk pages, generally, add it at the bottom. I don't know if this is offical or anything, it just seems to be how everyone does it :-) Fosnez (talk) 10:02, 18 January 2008 (UTC)
- Thanks for the advice, I will remove it. Nice to know some other Cairnsians are editing so strongly, I work for cityofcairns.com. Anyway, thanks for the advice, I mayhave more questions in the future as I am new here. Erick880 (talk) 23:45, 22 January 2008 (UTC)
- Thats ok, let me know if you have any other questions. Say Hi to Eve and Emmie for me, they should know who this is... Fosnez (talk) 02:30, 23 January 2008 (UTC)

rollback
[edit]I have granted your request for rollback. Please make sure you are familiar with how rollback works. In general, the tool is only for reverting obvious vandalism - any edit, no matter how awful or biased, that could possibly have been made in good faith should not be reverted in this manner. Never use rollback on the edits of regular contributors and most of all, use common sense. Remember rollback privileges can be revoked by any administrator. Thank you for helping to reduce vandalism.--Docg 08:25, 26 January 2008 (UTC)
- Erick, I think you misused your new rollback privileges already! Please check the rollback you just did to me on Adam Gilchrist. Thanks. Stephen Turner (Talk) 08:51, 26 January 2008 (UTC)
- Note rollback was not used. Erick880 (talk) 09:16, 26 January 2008 (UTC)
- Well, if rollback wasn't used, I apologise. It just looked like a rollback. Stephen Turner (Talk) 09:19, 26 January 2008 (UTC)
- You didn't read the changes. The retirement info is still in the lead, even more prominent than where you originally put it. The thing I said should be in the article rather than in the lead was the Australian wicket-keeping record when he also holds the world record. Stephen Turner (Talk) 08:55, 26 January 2008 (UTC)
Mystic Arts
[edit]Hi Erick, I am very new and not quite sure or knowledgeable how this works - to extent this is my first comment. In addition, and as I familiarized myself much as I as could with the rules of Wikipedia, which I am still learning, I have to be careful since I work (as a volunteer) for Mystic Ballet - a non-profit educational and cultural institution. Also I am very biased to the area’s culture and arts, as well as its education. Knowing that Mystic CT page is not a bulletin board, I still found appalling when I saw that you removed Mystic Ballet from the page of our little town, with the comment that it is not relevant to the page. As Mystic has a long history, and tradition, I thought it would be very valuable for the public and Wikipedia users to familiarize themselves with the cultural aspect of the town, not just tourist attractions, or former movie affiliations. The cultural appreciation of our residents and visitors is much deeper, one might expect. Our Mystic Arts Association (which I am working to bring to the page as well) and our Mystic Ballet, produces credential artistic and cultural attributes to the history of this quaint little village. To conclude, I am very sorry that you found that Arts and Culture is not part of history and heritage of one society, and/or is not worthy of it. It is possible that I am more than partial to the arts, but I truly hope that you will give me a good reason, or reconsider your decision and put back the cultural aspect of our town. Thanks for your consideration. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Mystic Ballet (talk • contribs) 01:16, 21 March 2008 (UTC)

Proposed deletion of List of churches in Cairns, Queensland
[edit]A proposed deletion template has been added to the article List of churches in Cairns, Queensland, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
