Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. This is a message letting you know that one or more of your recent edits to J. S. Woodsworth have been undone by an automated computer program called ClueBot NG.

Thank you. ClueBot NG (talk) 06:02, 28 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did with this edit to Adrien Arcand. Your edits appear to be vandalism and have been reverted or removed. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Repeated vandalism can result in the loss of editing privileges. Thank you. AgisdeSparte (talk) 13:26, 28 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

You have been blocked indefinitely from editing for persistently making disruptive edits.

Request reason:

That was a real quote from a short biographical sketch. I don’t know how to make any of those links or footnotes if that was the problem.EricusFilius (talk) 21:20, 28 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

Once you figure out how to properly cite, but not before, feel free to create a new unblock request. You'll want to review WP:CITE and WP:RS. Additionally, you'll want to explain why this addition was inappropriate, even if properly attributed. Yamla (talk) 21:40, 28 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Request reason:

reason: That was a second edit where I just corrected a line. I didn’t mean the whole things was a typo.EricusFilius (talk) 21:55, 28 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

As noted, until you can tell us what was inappropriate about your edit, you can't be unblocked. 331dot (talk) 23:59, 28 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

That addresses none of the concerns. You need to do all of the following:

  1. convince us you have read and thoroughly understood WP:CITE and WP:RS
  2. explain why this addition was inappropriate, even if properly attributed. Hint: the edit summary isn't the problem.

Until you are able to do both of these things, you should remove your open unblock request. --Yamla (talk) 21:58, 28 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I have to explain why it was inappropriate? I don’t see that it was. It was relevant to the subject of the Wikipedia page. EricusFilius (talk) 22:11, 28 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
In that case, there's no possibility your block will be lifted. --Yamla (talk) 22:13, 28 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I thought so. EricusFilius (talk) 22:17, 28 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

The guidelines say I’m allowed to ask for clarification. I don’t see how it was inappropriate or vandalism. EricusFilius (talk) 01:27, 29 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
