Jason Howell and Buzz Out Loud
[edit]Since you asked in a constructive manner, I'm responding to you here. I believe Irishguy is tired of discussing this which is probably why he has stopped responding. The core problem as I see it is that nothing you have shown about Jason Howell really firmly proves he is notable by the musician or general biography standards. At this point I would recommend just waiting on the Howell page. Try working on the other Buzz Out Loud pages including the main article, and wait for more to be written about Howell. I tagged the main podcast and biography articles for genuine problems I saw, I'm not being a dick to prove a point. Work on those articles, maybe build a good staff section on the page including brief information about all the staffers if you want. Take all this collective energy you and others are putting into Howell's page and channel it into the articles that are already there. While you are out working on those maybe someone else will write about Howell, or at least all parties will have calmed down and will be more agreeable. - Optigan13 06:20, 12 November 2007 (UTC)
Orphaned non-free media (File:TheForceNet1017010.jpg)
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:TheForceNet1017010.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Hazard-Bot (talk) 04:03, 25 December 2012 (UTC)

[edit]In a recent edit to the page Anna Paquin, you changed one or more words or styles from one national variety of English to another. Because Wikipedia has readers from all over the world, our policy is to respect national varieties of English in Wikipedia articles.
For a subject exclusively related to the United Kingdom (for example, a famous British person), use British English. For something related to the United States in the same way, use American English. For something related to another English-speaking country, such as Canada, Australia, or New Zealand, use the variety of English used there. For an international topic, use the form of English that the original author used.
In view of that, please don't change articles from one version of English to another, even if you don't normally use the version in which the article is written. Respect other people's versions of English. They, in turn, should respect yours. Other general guidelines on how Wikipedia articles are written can be found in the Manual of Style. If you have any questions about this, you can ask me on my talk page or visit the help desk. Thank you. Elizium23 (talk) 02:24, 21 July 2013 (UTC)

File permission problem with File:TFNHomepage.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:TFNHomepage.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.
If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either
- make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
- Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.
If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.
If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read the Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 10:54, 26 December 2013 (UTC)

TF.N article
[edit]Hiya -- FYI, I did some trimming to the TF.N article, removing some sections you either added to or created. Unfortunately, the initial content you stumbled into was already pretty poor (and not just outdated). Compounding that was language that looked to assert the site's significance/impact but lacking substantiation from third-party sources. I'm a fan of the site -- longtime if inactive participant at JC, and I appreciate your podcast work -- but on the face of it, there isn't enough third-party commentary on the site to bolster much more than a stub about its existence and some of its content. I asked some folks at the Star Wars wikiproject page also to take a gander; they may also have suggestions on appropriate expanding the article. --EEMIV (talk) 01:17, 30 December 2013 (UTC)
- Hey, no worries. Gotta stick to the terms of the site. Thanks for letting me know. — Eric Geller (talk to me) 22:53, 30 December 2013 (UTC)

[edit]Hi, and thanks for your work on the English Wikipedia.
I noticed Defense Health Agency, which you worked on. Just a short note to point out that we don’t normally link:
- dates
- years
- commonly known geographical terms (including well-known country-names), and
- common terms you’d look up in a dictionary (unless significantly technical).
This even applies for infoboxes.
Thanks and my best wishes.

[edit]Hello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to The Boys from Brazil (film) may have broken the syntax by modifying 1 "()"s. Disambiguation link notification for March 12
[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Feta, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Turkic (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. [edit]File copyright problem with File:EricGeller 8-14-10.JPG
[edit]Thank you for uploading File:EricGeller 8-14-10.JPG. However, it is currently missing information on its copyright and licensing status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can verify that it has an acceptable license status and a verifiable source. Please add this information by editing the image description page. You may refer to the image use policy to learn what files you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. The page on copyright tags may help you to find the correct tag to use for your file. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.
Please also check any other files you may have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Here is a list of your uploads.
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. Dylsss(talk contribs) 00:16, 24 May 2021 (UTC)
