Thanks for the welcome! i've been loving wikipedia for a long time and thought i'd get involved. Turns out there's still much much more for me to learn about how to do things properly!! p.s. I've read Talk pages and Talk page guidelines but i'm not quite clear... is it correct to reply to your message here, or should i visit your talk page? Erstwerst 10:54, 10 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Out of interest, when you signed the comment on this AfD that appeared to come from an IP, did you type in the lot manually, or did you use the four tildes (~~~~)? If you used the tildes, something was very wrong... --Whouk (talk) 14:11, 9 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

My apologies, i'm new here, and whilst i thought i'd read up sufficiently, i clearly hadn't! i copied, pasted and adapted other peoples sigs! i'll be sure to use tildes from now on! Erstwerst 10:54, 10 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]
No problem. Have fun and be bold! --Whouk (talk) 11:07, 10 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

License tagging for Image:HistoryOfGunsPic2006.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:HistoryOfGunsPic2006.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. --OrphanBot (talk) 17:07, 20 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
