Recent edit to Seth Rogen[edit]

Hello, and thank you for your recent contribution. I appreciate the effort you made for our project, but unfortunately I had to undo your edit because I believe the article was better before you made that change. Feel free to contact me directly if you have any questions. Thank you! ‑ ‑ Gareth Griffith‑Jones The Welsh Buzzard ‑ ‑ 10:18, 23 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

February 2018[edit]

Information icon Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia. However, talk pages are meant to be a record of a discussion; deleting or editing legitimate comments is considered bad practice, even if you meant well. Even making spelling and grammatical corrections in others' comments is generally frowned upon, as it tends to irritate the users whose comments you are correcting. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. Snuggums (talk / edits) 03:36, 24 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

incorrectly placed categories[edit]

Why are you placing categories for albums on band article pages? They belong on the album articles instead. Reverting my explained revert is unproductive. Walter Görlitz (talk) 08:06, 25 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I see, they're poorly created navigation templates and not cats. Walter Görlitz (talk) 08:07, 25 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

February 2018[edit]

Information icon Hello. Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia.

When editing Wikipedia, there is a field labeled "Edit summary" below the main edit box. It looks like this:

Edit summary (Briefly describe your changes)

Please be sure to provide a summary of every edit you make, even if you write only the briefest of summaries. The summaries are very helpful to people browsing an article's history.

Edit summary content is visible in:

Please use the edit summary to explain your reasoning for the edit, or a summary of what the edit changes. You can give yourself a reminder to add an edit summary by setting Preferences → Editing → check Prompt me when entering a blank edit summary. Thanks! Information icon Hello, I'm Davey2010. I wanted to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions to La Roux have been undone because they did not appear constructive. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you have any questions, you can ask for assistance at the Help Desk. Thanks. –Davey2010Talk 19:30, 25 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Stop icon

Your recent editing history at Beastie Boys shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war. See BRD for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.

Being involved in an edit war can result in your being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly. Please read WP:BRD - you made a bold edit and your edit was disputed. Please explain what you want to do on the relevant talkpages and expect discussion first. The AIV report by Davey was declined and I've removed your report as inappropriate retaliation. Acroterion (talk) 20:04, 25 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]
My edits are similar to the ones that I've done on the pop and comedy categories, they're still there. I don't know why these one are getting reverted since I just did the same thing. And all I've wanted to know from the people who've reverted my edits is to why did they do it?Film Atom (talk) 20:09, 25 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Edits[edit]

You cannot go around hitting the undo button on everyone .... If someone has reverted you on multiple pages then you either need to take it up with them or go to the article talkpages and discuss it, So please stop reverting on articles (and my talkpage) and go to the respective talkpgaes and discuss it, Consider this a final warning. –Davey2010Talk 20:03, 25 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Davey2010: I am going on your talk page because YOU are the one reverting my edits. They are Grammy award winning templates! I did the same thing with the Pop and Comedy categories. The result was nothing, they're still there! You have continue to not answer my question as to why are your only response is to calling me a troll. So tell me why? And don't give me warning when all I've wanted from is some god damn ANSWERS!Film Atom (talk) 20:07, 25 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Discuss it with the editor who you intially reverted .... I simply saw a newbie mass-reverting an editor and so acted accordingly, Have a nice day. –Davey2010Talk 20:13, 25 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]
That's all I ever wanted from you. And you had to go out and make this into an ugly situation. If this happens again and you're reverting my edits without and explanation and calling a troll for the sake of it, I will report you. Film Atom (talk) 20:25, 25 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Sockpuppet investigation[edit]

Hi. An editor has opened an investigation into sockpuppetry by you. Sockpuppetry is the use of more than one Wikipedia account in a manner that contravenes community policy. The investigation is being held at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Atomic Meltdown, where the editor who opened the investigation has presented their evidence. Please make sure you make yourself familiar with the guide to responding to investigations, and then feel free to offer your own evidence or to submit comments that you wish to be considered by the Wikipedia administrator who decides the result of the investigation. If you have been using multiple accounts (in a manner contrary to Wikipedia policy), please go to the investigation page and verify that now. Leniency is usually shown to those who promise not to do so again, or who did so unwittingly, but the abuse of multiple accounts is taken very seriously by the Wikipedia community.
