Appreciate your help in this matter. Political appointees were added to wikipedia at time of appointment with no effort. Assistant Secretary Charles Williams was overlooked. The following are peers, predecessor and successor. Do you know how wikipedia lists some but not all in similar positions? More references were added.

Thanks

Peers:

  • John Henderson (Air Force Asst. Secretary)
  • Alex Beehler (Army Asst. Secretary)
  • Jordan Gillis (Army Asst. Secretary)
  • Greg Slavonic (Navy Asst. Secretary)
  • James Geurts (Navy Asst. Secretary)
  • Thomas Harker (Navy Asst. Secretary)
  • Lucian Niemeyer (Navy Asst. Secretary)
  • Meredith Berger (Navy Asst. Secretary)

All of those are properly referenced. Articles about Assistant Secretaries exist because people have created them. Yes, an assumption can be made that this level of government appointment qualifies for an article. Modeling the Williams draft on these articles will improve likelihood of it being approved. appreciate any help

[edit]

Searched Admiral Charles A Williams, Admiral Charles Williams Jr. Honorable Secretary Charles Williams, Assistant Secretary Charles Williams, Honorable Charles A Williams and Secretary Charles A Williams. Used google for searching references. told 2x there is no proper supporting references for notoriety. Peers, predecessors and successors are listed in wikipedia. I don't have the skill or wikipedia knowledge to properly document references, for example url in my parlance means unrestricted line. is there somebody or somebody you might know who could be compensated for consulting time, train me or trade my knowledge of military, geopolitical issues, real estate, aviation etc for their skill set.

Thank you

Example of proper referencing

Early life and education

[edit]

Raised in Aston, Pennsylvania, Niemeyer is a 1987 graduate of the University of Notre Dame with a Bachelor of Architecture degree.[1]

Military career

[edit]

Niemeyer is a retired United States Air Force officer with fifteen years of active service and five years in the Air National Guard.[2]

Civilian career

[edit]

Prior to assuming his current role, Niemeyer served as president of the Niemeyer Group, where he advised public and private entities on national defense issues. He was previously a staff member of the United States Senate Committee on Armed Services, where he managed legislative authorizations for military installations and energy and environmental programs, and recommended congressional support for construction, repair, and modernization of military facilities.[3]

He served as Assistant Secretary of Defense for Energy, Installations and Environment from 2017 to 2021.[4] He was nominated for the position by President Donald Trump in June 2017 and was confirmed by the United States Senate on August 1, 2017, by voice vote. On June 26, 2019, after a reorganization within the Office of the Secretary of Defense, Niemeyer became Acting Assistant Secretary of the Navy for Energy, Installations and Environment.[5]

Still very wrong on referencing

[edit]

References are inserted into the text of the article. I fixed one ref. The referencing program automatically numbers the ref locations in the text and then shows the references in the References section. References are NOT typed under References. See Help:Referencing for beginners. I provided examples on your Talk page, but you still show no ability to create proper references. If this is truly beyond you, give up. David notMD (talk) 14:35, 20 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Love to give up if i could find someone else to do it but who. do you know someone? willing to offer something in exchange. pentagon is looking into it to see who prepared articles for government officials and how this one got missed.

Referencing improved, so I removed the refs bad tag and added a SUBMIT option. Consider adding content so that it is more in keeping with other Asst Sec articles. Once submitted, will be days to months for a Reviewer (the system is not a queue). If Declined, the Reviewer will identify shortfalls. P.S. Each Wikipedia account is for one person. Other people can work on an article, but they should have their own accounts. David notMD (talk) 21:58, 21 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

The article meets an acceptable standard for creation. It matches others of the same position. The individual is referenced on other wiki pages. Out of exasperation it became an act of futility. If you can do anything with it, it is merited. 2600:6C40:6400:274C:447C:4979:EB98:B893 (talk) 20:07, 26 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
