Hey

Your edit to John C. Wright[edit]

Hi, that material is not to be reinserted with those citations, please take this as a warning. There is discussion on the talkpage of the BLP noticeboard here, and on the Wright article talkpage, please go there to discuss. Off2riorob (talk) 02:42, 1 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Spelling differences[edit]

Please note that it is against policy (WP:ENGVAR) to "correct" American spellings ("organization") to British spellings ("organisation"), or vice versa, as you did on Democratic centralism. --Cybercobra (talk) 12:18, 1 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for your contribution[edit]

Salam , thanks for your contribution in Mohsen Namjoo discography articles. Love.Bbadree (talk) 20:39, 8 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Students for Palestine[edit]

The information regarding Students For Palenstine which I added is free to be seen in stated reasons by the MSA why Omar Hassan's pay was docked. You're removing the information simply to hide the truth. Also, the 'seen to be a Socialist Alternative front group' is a known fact. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 118.138.192.123 (talk) 11:28, 7 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Absolutely not, those comments were defamatory, with no established factuality whatsoever. In any case, thank you for abiding by Wiki editing procedures. Franz.87 (talk) 13:39, 7 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
They weren't defamatory at all. They were factual. I'll search for the documentation to prove what I was saying, and put them up as references, to prove I was only trying to make the article accurate. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 118.138.192.123 (talk) 13:11, 8 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
The information has been re-added with references for proof. If you have a problem with the way I have worded it, please don't hesitate to fix it. Sorry for any problems caused. --118.138.192.123 (talk) 13:27, 8 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
It's not a point of view issue. I'm not claiming that I see them as a front group, it's just to the student population Students For Palestine is seen as a SA front group. They consist heavily of the same members, they are organised by SA, also whenever SA sets up stalls they use SFP. Also, please reply on my new account rather than the IP I used. --Tinker Tenor Doctor Spy (talk) 18:10, 9 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Iranian Workers' Solidarity Network, and it appears to include a substantial copy of http://www.iwsn.org/iwsn/about.htm. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. See our copyright policy for further details.

This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. Thanks for uploading this useful image. It is licensed under a free license which is great, but I see that it's author (and hence copyright owner) is "Hossam el-Hamalawy". Could you please get Hossam to send an email to permissions-commons@wikimedia.org confirming the license. It is very important for the Wikimedia projects that all material is freely and genuinely licensed. You can read more about the OTRS system here. Once an OTRS volunteer has marked the image as having permission for its license it can be transferred to the Wikimedia Commons where it will be available for use in other language Wikipedias. --Simon Speed (talk) 20:52, 21 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Your photo uploads[edit]

Hi,

and thanks for the three photos and the logo (see them here listed).

We'd like to move all of them to Wikimedia Commons, so they may be used in all Wikipedias around the world. However, it is not quite enough that you assigned a license to the images. If you didn't take the photos yourself, you may not be entitled to license the images to Wikipedia. Otherwise please fill in the following information on the uploaded files' pages:

{{Information
 |Description =
 |Source = I (~~~) created this work entirely by myself.
 |Date = ~~~~~
 |Author = ~~~
 |other_versions =
}}

If you prefer, you can upload the images to Wikimedia Commons instead.

Thanks for your help, PanchoS (talk) 23:36, 9 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

File source problem with File:Duncan Hallas.jpg[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:Duncan Hallas.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the page from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of the website's terms of use of its content. If the original copyright holder is a party unaffiliated with the website, that author should also be credited. Please add this information by editing the image description page.

If the necessary information is not added within the next days, the image will be deleted. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.

Please refer to the image use policy to learn what images you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. Please also check any other files you have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Here is a list of your uploads. If you have any questions or are in need of assistance please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. File permission problem with File:IWSN-Logo.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:IWSN-Logo.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.

If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{permission pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. Here is a list of your uploads. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described in section F11 of the criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. --Minorax«¦talk¦» 12:34, 27 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
