Just a note that external links don't go in main text, but in the external links section and should link to the relevant page, not the home page. Ty 22:40, 10 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Biographies of living people

[edit]

I understand that you know this information to be true, but our biography of living persons policy requires that we take great care in requiring good sourcing for these types of articles. Primary sources such as birth and death certificates and unpublished materials like personal accounts aren't appropriate; see also this policy. If no reliable published source has discussed these details, it would be better to omit them. Nikkimaria (talk) 00:32, 28 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Ann Gillis

[edit]

Given the extensive acting history of this person, they are certainly notable per WP:NACTOR. If you think that the article meets WP:BEFORE you may nominate the page for deletion. --Bamyers99 (talk) 00:06, 29 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Gordon

[edit]

Hi Gordon -- just a friendly note from a stranger. Seems like your intentions are good, but your pattern of activity over at Ann Gillis counts as an edit war -- essentially, mechanically deleting & restoring text back and forth that leads nowhere -- and could also count as a conflict of interest, since you're evidently a family member. Please slow down, explain your concerns on the talk page, and assume good faith on the part of others. Wikipedia requires some patience sometimes. --Lockley (talk) 00:11, 29 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]
