Why u reject Mihir Bhoj Marg page ??[edit]

Plz check the two citiation. I have updated it again. Please read the entire page and citiations. I have updated again. Draft:Gurjar_Samrat_Mihir_Bhoj_Marg. MaverickDelhi (talk) 09:45, 14 October 2018 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by MaverickDelhi (talkcontribs) 09:55, 14 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

  • Your article says "Gurjar Samrat Mihir Bhoj Marg New Delhi, is a National Highway (India)." Source one says "Village Name : Gurjar Samrat Mihir Bhoj Marg, Patparganj, New Delhi, East Delhi." Source two is a Google map. If this is a National Highway, then cite the Indian Government who will have it listed. And even then, there is no indication of which highway it is on List of National Highways in India by highway number. You can also check Wikipedia:WikiProject Indian roads for help and resources. — Frayæ (Talk/Spjall) 11:16, 14 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Skycoin, continued[edit]

Hi Frayae, by this logic we should delete most of the Wikipedia pages for every company listed in Wikipedia... IBM, Google, Microsoft and thousands more. Every Wikipedia page about a company, as well as all of the existing cryptocurrency pages... they all describe what the company does, its history, how it operates etc. By your logic, this is all 'promotional' and should all be deleted?

You ask "Why would a encyclopedia contain details on things like how it works or what the genesis block is?". The answer is because these are vitally important points for cryptocurrencies. You might as well ask why an encyclopedia would contain details on things like how the internal combustion engine works. Of course an encyclopedia should contain such details - that's what it's for. Peak Debt (talk) 09:40, 14 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

  • If something is important for cryptocurrencies then write it in Cryptocurrency. The article on Skycoin should not contain a complete explanation on what a cryptocurrency is because it is supposed to be an article about a company. The article on Öhlins does not contain a explanation on how engines and suspension work, or a detailed section on the things people who prefer non-electronic suspension said. — Frayæ (Talk/Spjall) 11:36, 14 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Frayae, the page doesn't contain "a complete explanation on what a cryptocurrency is". It contains a high-level description of what Skycoin is, and it explains how Skycoin differs from Bitcoin. Peak Debt (talk) 23:43, 14 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Ah, I see it has just been approved... awesome, thank you! :) Peak Debt (talk) 23:45, 14 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Joe DeGuardia Article[edit]

Hey, so I made some improvements to my article's references. Would you be able to check to see if they need to be further improved?

Hi Frayae. I moved Service governance back to draft space as besides a few category changes I did not see any difference in the article from when it was nominated for deltion and sent to draftspace as an AtD. Please ping me if you have any questions or would like to discuss further. Best, Barkeep49 (talk) 22:22, 16 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

  • The article text is fine. I am not convinced on the number of references and would like to see more reliable secondary sources, sources like books, magazines, and news stories. They do not have to be in English or available on the internet. — Frayæ (Talk/Spjall) 10:35, 17 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Help[edit]

Hello. Help please post this article on Wikipedia (Dmitry Green). Thank you very much.Namerst (talk) 13:50, 16 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

  • Sorry no. I don't think Draft:Dmitry_Green has enough reliable sources to be published. I also don't understand the Russian language and can't help with many improvements for this reason. — Frayæ (Talk/Spjall) 14:06, 16 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
    • I will be very grateful if you helpNamerst (talk) 14:45, 16 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
      • I really don't know. The references appear mostly unreliable, the mention of "Currently launching a global EdTech project based on Blockchain technology" is a red flag to me that this is not a mainstream businessman. Instead he is a "new" entrepreneur, who generally are not notable enough for an article. — Frayæ (Talk/Spjall) 15:42, 18 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Why was Draft:Jean Morrison deleted?[edit]

Hi Frayæ

You recently deleted the page I created for Jean Morrison. The WP:NMUSIC criteria clearly states

"Musicians or ensembles (this category includes bands, singers, rappers, orchestras, DJs, musical theatre groups, instrumentalists, etc.) may be notable if they meet at least ONE of the following criteria."

"1. Has been the subject of multiple, non-trivial, published works appearing in sources that are reliable, not self-published, and are independent of the musician or ensemble itself."

- His EP was reviewed in a South African national newspaper, The Citizen, and he was interviewed on a separate occasion in the same publication. This meets the "multiple" requirement. Please see inline citation #4 and #10 of Draft:Jean Morrison. These are national publications, are not self-published, are not non-trivial and meet all criteria of point 1.

"11. Has been placed in rotation nationally by a major radio or music television network"

- He qualifies for number 11 as his music video was playlisted nationally on a USA cable television network AXS TV. See inline citation #18 of Draft:Jean Morrison.

I have additional resources but didn't include them as I thought he had met all the requirements already.

Tommyvanj (talk) 20:57, 14 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

  • The page has not been deleted and you are encouraged to submit the draft for review again once you have added those additional citations you mention. Please take the opportunity to remove all the links to www.jeanmorrisonmusic.com and any links with the word "blog" in them. You could also work on the tone of the article which is a little promotional. Thanks. — Frayæ (Talk/Spjall) 21:05, 14 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Frayæ, thanks for the feedback. Which sentences sound a little promotional? If you're referring to "convincing clarity" and "considerable writing talent", these are direct quotes from the referenced articles. If these quotes are still not suitable for wikipedia due to a non-neutral tone, I will remove them immediately. You say I must remove all links to the artists main website. Do I even need to remove links to biographical pages on the artists main site to support biographical text in the wiki article? Or should I remove all text, biographical or not, that cannot be referenced by articles independent of the musician itself? Thanks Tommyvanj (talk) 00:14, 16 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

  • Yes, all Wikipedia content should be from reliable secondary sources. The subjects own website is not a good source. — Frayæ (Talk/Spjall) 00:23, 16 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

How do I reference a magazine article like this one? https://ibb.co/kQoQG9. Can I use that link as a reliable reference? - Tommyvanj (talk) 23:59, 16 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

  • You can't reference a link to a picture of a source, you would need to use a citation like; "Heating up the Airwaves". Get It Magazine. Berea, Durban. 8 October 2008. p. 10.Frayæ (Talk/Spjall) 22:19, 17 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Frayæ, I have updated Draft:Jean Morrison as per your suggestions. Please will you have a look and tell me if source 9 and 11 are added correctly and if you feel the page is ready to be resubmitted. I have more references but just want to make sure everything looks okay so far and is void of any promotional tone. Thanks - Tommyvanj (talk) 23:32, 17 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Draft : Nakul Abhyankar[edit]

Hello Frayae,

Thank you for reviewing my draft. In the reference section I have added interviews from National newspapers and award website. In addition the discography contains links to tracks sung by the subject. These songs are from some of the most famous movies in the country. Could you please provide some specific problems as I have added references highly credible sources? Thank you for time and effort.

BhargavaAnirudh7 (talk) 16:32, 18 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

  • The sources are good, you need to add more to meet the minimum criteria to support an article. — Frayæ (Talk/Spjall) 16:33, 18 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for the prompt reply. How can I understand the minimum criteria? Do you mean to say I should add more references to the work that subject has done? BhargavaAnirudh7 (talk) 16:38, 18 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

  • When looking at the minimum criteria, you need to find multiple reliable sources, the sources should be about the subject or the subjects work. To some extent this about showing that independant media consider the subject important enough to write news articles about. — Frayæ (Talk/Spjall) 16:53, 18 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

In that case would chances of getting the article approved increase ,if I remove the facts which currently I cannot support with news articles/magazines? I can update that information, if it gets corroborated in future. BhargavaAnirudh7 (talk) 17:54, 18 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

  • Although you should aim to support all the content with reliable sources, the chances of getting an article accepted is almost entirely based on notability. More sources makes the notability higher. Some important subjects are presumed to have notability without needing sources, otherwise the notability of a subject is measured by the WP:GNG guideline. If I approved this draft now, with only two reliable sources, there is a high chance of another editor quickly deleting it at new page review. — Frayæ (Talk/Spjall) 18:01, 18 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Frayae, I have edited the draft as per your guidelines. All references are from independent sources. I would really appreciate if you can take a look and provide your feedback. I tried my best to incorporate all your suggestions. Thanks again. BhargavaAnirudh7 (talk) 22:36, 18 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for approving. One follow up question, how much time does it take for the page to be visible on internet? I cannot find it right now. BhargavaAnirudh7 (talk) 22:52, 18 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

  • The new page reviewers will get to it eventually, it could be anywhere from a few hours to a few weeks. — Frayæ (Talk/Spjall) 22:55, 18 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Red Points draft[edit]

Hi there Frayae,

thank you for responding to my question. You said that Red Points Draft was deleted because more or less it mostly used promotional language. As I said in my first question, I would like to kindly ask that you review the page again because I don't think it is promotional and I although I am a paid employee for Red Points (I did state this as well), I was very careful not to mention anything promotional in the page and wrote it from a purely neutral perspective. If you compare this draft to other company pages that have been approved, such as Mark Monitor's, the style is the same.

My guess is that the initial reviewer looked over the draft and saw that it was a company page so rejected it because I imagine that many are indeed promotional. Whatever it is that's deemed promotional on the draft can you please highlight this so I can change it and have another chance to submit the article? Best Robhamburg89 (talk) 16:19, 18 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

  • It is good that you have done the WP:PAID disclosure. The draft must have been well below the minimum standards because it has since been deleted as unambiguous advertising. I highly recommend attention to the guidance on notability in WP:NCORP before deciding whether to try again. — Frayæ (Talk/Spjall) 16:25, 18 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hi again, I did make sure that our sources were from reputable media websites such as Wired and TechCrunch. Our coverage by these sources was not paid for. As I said in my previous questions, I don't feel that the article has been looked at properly. Is it possible to get other editors to look at the article again? It was also deleted, is there a way I can view my article even though it was deleted? Best Robhamburg89 (talk) 08:53, 19 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

  • Only administrators can see deleted articles. — Frayæ (Talk/Spjall) 08:54, 19 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Why you have rejected My Article "Sakshi Pradhan" ?[edit]

Hey Frayae,

I have started writing on Wikipedia and I wrote one article, I have followed all of the instruction mentioned in the Wikipedia reference page. Please do let me know if you feel anything which shouldn't be there or missing in the draft page.

Okay, So I have added 9 more references and citations. can you please go through that once again? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Travelmania92 (talkcontribs) 11:43, 20 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Why have you rejected my article, Matthew Knowles?[edit]

Knowles seems to have more articles and mentions that a lot of other actors who have pages. It seems like he should be up here. He has many primary sources and I added secondary sources as well such as http://www.crossroadstoday.com/story/38637330/wwwcrossroadstodaycom and http://www.chinadaily.com.cn/a/201805/10/WS5af38d15a3105cdcf651d03d_3.html https://www.chinadailyhk.com/articles/71/209/67/1525919486898.html I found some Chinese ones including BBC https://www.bbc.com/zhongwen/simp/chinese-news-41877513 https://baijiahao.baidu.com/s?id=1607744558866528372&wfr=spider&for=pc And here is one about him supporting Autism Awareness. https://k.sina.cn/article_3950357089_eb75aa610010021to.html?http=fromhttp And here is a video interview of him on the BBC World News: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LtyBavYRksQ Do any of these work for establishing notability? Hæ Frayæ! The above scenario is common, and happens when we manually add {{subst:submit}} to a draft as you did in this diff. You then become submitter.
