## Welcome!

Welcome to Wikipedia, Golfcoach! I am Sallicio and have been editing Wikipedia for quite some time. I just wanted to say hi and welcome you to Wikipedia! If you have any questions, feel free to leave me a message on my talk page or by typing {{helpme}} at the bottom of this page. I love to help new users, so don't be afraid to leave a message! I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Oh yeah, I almost forgot, when you post on talk pages you should sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); that should automatically produce your username and the date after your post. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or place {{helpme}} on your talk page and ask your question there. Again, welcome!

Sallicio${\displaystyle \color {Red}\oplus }$ 19:39, 2 January 2009 (UTC) {{helpme}} I have written my first article.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Manuel_de_la_torre_(golf_professional) I see a message that appears to be pointing to deficiencies in my article.
I don't know how to fix them. Help please.
Thanks Ed

Hi, it looks like you haven't read our Wikipedia policies and guidelines. Don't worry, they are a bit lengthy and we can guide you through it. First off, you may want to review other articles on Wikipedia on similar subjects. Second, please note that Wikipedia strives to be neutral in their articles. Your usage of what Wikipedia calls as WP:WEASEL words are generally discouraged. At the moment, you have four issues with that article, mainly requiring a complete restructuring of the article. You may request help with your Golf-related biography article by visiting WP:GOLF and posting a request on its talk page. Be sure to sign all talk page posts with four tildes (~~~~). Have a great day! - Jameson L. Tai talkguestbookcontribs 21:03, 2 January 2009 (UTC)

## User:Golfcoach

A tag has been placed on your user page, User:Golfcoach, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be blatant advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person, and which is a violation of our policies regarding acceptable use of user pages: user pages are intended for active editors of Wikipedia to communicate with one another as part of the process of creating encyclopedic content, and should not be mistaken for free webhosting resources. Please read the general criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 11, as well as the guidelines on spam, the guidelines on user pages, and, especially, our FAQ for businesses.

If you can indicate why the page is not blatant advertising, you may contest the tagging. To do this, please add `{{hangon}}` on the top of the page in question and leave a note on this page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Calton | Talk 13:50, 16 January 2009 (UTC)

## Speedy Deletion

I am the author of the article on Manuel de la Torre (golf professional). I am not Manuel de la Torre. I do not work for Manuel de la Torre. I have no financial interest in the sale of his books. Many golfers are interested in him and his approach to teaching. He is 86 years old and this article is an effort to provide help to those golfers who want to take advantage of his approach to golf. Upon your suggestion, I have read the guidlines for deleting my article. I do not see any violation of the guidelines. Please let me know what they are and I will correct them immediately. I am new to Wikipedia. This is my first article. You can post to my talk page, but I would probably be able to respond more quickly if you could advise me via email. learn@heartlandgolfschools.com Thanks Ed

Thanks for uploading File:Fig-2-During-the-War.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.

For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 23:06, 19 January 2009 (UTC)

## File permission problem with File:Angel de la Torre.jpg

Thanks for uploading File:Angel de la Torre.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file agreed to license it under the given license.

If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

• make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
• Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-enwikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-enwikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. ww2censor (talk) 04:52, 16 October 2009 (UTC)

There is no use in posting your email on my talk page as I don't deal with OTRS tickets. Follow the instructions mentioned above and have Manuel de la Torre send the email to permissions-enwikimedia.org. Make sure to include a proper link to the file name that was deleted, so the OTRS people can find the image and restore it. Thanks ww2censor (talk) 17:06, 27 October 2009 (UTC)

Thanks for uploading File:Manuel-NCAA'47Runnerup.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information.

If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia. ## File:Manuel-NCAA'47Runnerup.jpg missing description details

is missing a description and/or other details on its image description page. If possible, please add this information. This will help other editors make better use of the image, and it will be more informative to readers.

If the information is not provided, the image may eventually be proposed for deletion, a situation which is not desirable, and which can easily be avoided.

If you have any questions, please see Help:Image page. Thank you. Theo's Little Bot (error?) 09:48, 14 April 2013 (UTC)
