[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, your addition of one or more external links to the page Jon Woods has been reverted.

Your edit here was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove unwanted links and spam from Wikipedia. The external link you added or changed is on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia. The external links I reverted were matching the following regex rule(s): \bfacebook\.com (links: http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=606912176&v=photos&so=0#/profile.php?id=606912176). If the external link you inserted or changed was to a media file (e.g. an image file) on an external server, then note that linking to such files may be subject to Wikipedia's copyright policy and therefore probably should not be linked to. Please consider using our upload facility to upload a suitable media file.

If you were trying to insert an external link that does comply with our policies and guidelines, then please accept my creator's apologies and feel free to undo the bot's revert. However, if the link does not comply with our policies and guidelines, but your edit included other changes to the article, feel free to make those changes again without re-adding the link. Please read Wikipedia's external links guideline for more information, and consult my list of frequently-reverted sites. For more information about me, see my FAQ page. Thanks! --XLinkBot (talk) 00:59, 6 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion of Eddie Love

[edit]

A tag has been placed on Eddie Love requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. RadioFan (talk) 03:11, 6 April 2009 (UTC) I see that it is empty, Please do not create articles that do not have anything in it Purplebananasandelephants (talk) 03:12, 6 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not remove speedy deletion notices from pages you have created yourself, as you did with Eddie Love. Please use the {{hangon}} template on the page instead if you disagree with the deletion, and make your case on the page's talk page. Thank you. RadioFan (talk) 03:36, 6 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed deletion of Eddie Love

[edit]

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Eddie Love, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process because of the following concern:

his band may be notable, but notability as a solo artist is not established here

All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because, even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. It looks like you may have added copyrighted material to Wikipedia, at Eddie Love. Please do not add such material without permission from the copyright holder. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing. Please stop adding copyrighted material to Wikipedia. If you challenge the proposed deletion, you are welcome to remove the tag – but please address the issues given. If you continue to violate our copyright policy, you will be blocked from editing. Cycle~ (talk) 03:45, 6 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion of Rizz Woods

[edit]

A tag has been placed on Rizz Woods requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words.

If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

This is the last warning you will receive for your edits – I've had to remove the copyright-violating content again (from [1]). Do not put it back in. Cycle~ (talk) 03:51, 6 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. If you can't type the tilde character, you should click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you! --SineBot (talk) 03:57, 6 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

About to be blocked

[edit]

We can't take the word of a random person on the internet that they have the right to post previously copyrighted content on Wikipedia. A notice of release of copyright must be placed on the website that is being copied, or must be emailed to OTRS. Anything else will be seen as a copyright violation, and any further addition of copyrighted material will result in your being blocked. Also keep in mind that content from official websites is usually removed anyway for being too advertorial, lacking reliable sources, and that you are strongly discouraged from writing about anyone or anything you are closely affiliated with. You have been blocked from editing for a period of 24 hours in accordance with Wikipedia's blocking policy for copyright violations. I am afraid it doesn't work that way - the fact that yo have permission from the band is irrelevant to Wikipedia. The material has to be explicitly released under a compatible license - i.e. GFDL for it to be reused here in this manner. You have been blocked not as a punishment, purely as a preventative measure to stop you recreating until you understand fully the guidelines or can establish the necessary explicit permission. Also see our conflict of interest guidelines. If you are working for the article subject you should almost certainly not be editing the article. Mfield (Oi!) 04:24, 6 April 2009 (UTC). Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make constructive contributions. If you believe this block is unjustified, you may contest the block by adding the text {{unblock|Your reason here}} below, but you should read our guide to appealing blocks first. Mfield (Oi!) 04:24, 6 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Your account has been blocked from editing Wikipedia, because it appears to be mainly intended or used for promotional purposes of a company or group. See Wikipedia:FAQ/Organization and Wikipedia:Conflict of interest.

In addition, accounts are for individuals only, not for companies or groups or other collective editing, and your username should reflect this.

Wikipedia is not a promotion website; this kind of activity is considered spam on Wikipedia, and forbidden by policies, and usernames that appear to be promotional also violate our username policy. Editing on Wikipedia is not intended to be used to promote anyone, or anything, and its use for that purpose will result in blocking of the account involved.

If you feel that there has been a mistake, please appeal this block by adding the text {{unblock|Your reason here}} on your user talk page or contacting the administrator who has blocked you. Your reason should include a clear response to this issue and a new username you wish to adopt that does not violate our username policy. Please check that your new username has not already been taken here. StarM 11:55, 28 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
This user's unblock request has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without good reason (see the blocking policy).

Request reason:

inacccurate

Decline reason:

I am declining your request for unblock because it does not address the reason for your block, or because it is inadequate for other reasons. To be unblocked, you must convince the reviewing administrator(s) that either

  • the block is not necessary to prevent damage or disruption to Wikipedia
  • the block is no longer necessary because you
    • understand what you have been blocked for,
    • will not continue to cause damage or disruption, and
    • will make useful contributions instead.

Please read our guide to appealing blocks for more information. Jayron32.talk.contribs 02:08, 29 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.
