Funny talk with RegentsPark
[edit]Hi. I'm not sure what your agenda is but replacing Mughal/Islamic with Persian or Persian/Turkish is not something that is considered constructive out here. Nor is this edit particularly desirable. If you continue in this vein, you risk a block. --RegentsPark (sticks and stones) 02:06, 24 June 2009 (UTC)

[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but your recent edit removed content from Hinduism and Sikhism. When removing text, please specify a reason in the edit summary and discuss edits that are likely to be controversial on the article's talk page. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the text has been restored, as you can see from the page history. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia, and if you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. - Hi, Thanks for the message left on my page. The protocol is to rather tag sentences and ask for references, rather than delete them. I can see the problem with the sentences and how they maybe viewed as hateful, but we really cannot judge that. If it is referenced it stays. Otherwise tag is. Thanks--Sikh-History 13:53, 25 November 2009 (UTC)
Re:Tarkhan (Punjab)
[edit]Hi Fellow editor. I was wondering why you have changed Tarkhan to Tarkhana? That is not how it is pronounced our refered to in refrence books, or all of the refrences used. You have also deleted references to Jats as well as Misls from the article, when clearly the refrences refer to Jats and Misls. Please reinstate. Thanks --Sikh-History 14:19, 25 November 2009 (UTC)
- Thanks for the message on my talk page, but why have references to Misl and Jat been removed? Thanks--Sikh-History 13:40, 26 November 2009 (UTC)
Unreferenced BLPs
[edit]Hello HFret! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 1 of the articles that you created is tagged as an Unreferenced Biography of a Living Person. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to ensure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. If you were to bring this article up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 541 article backlog. Once the article is adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the article:
- Harkirat Singh - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs) · FENS · JSTOR · TWL
Thanks!--DASHBot (talk) 01:13, 16 January 2010 (UTC)
The article Bharatiya has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- Wikipedia is not a dictionary. This article is clearly a dictionary reference. The content is simply unsuitable for an encyclopedia. There are also no references and the content may not meet general notability guidelines.
While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Guoguo12--Talk-- 15:59, 20 July 2010 (UTC)

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Asian 10,000 Challenge invite
[edit]Hi. The Wikipedia:WikiProject Asia/The 10,000 Challenge has recently started, based on the UK/Ireland Wikipedia:The 10,000 Challenge and Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The 10,000 Challenge. The idea is not to record every minor edit, but to create a momentum to motivate editors to produce good content improvements and creations and inspire people to work on more countries than they might otherwise work on. There's also the possibility of establishing smaller country or regional challenges for places like South East Asia, Japan/China or India etc, much like Wikipedia:The 1000 Challenge (Nordic). For this to really work we need diversity and exciting content and editors from a broad range of countries regularly contributing. At some stage we hope to run some contests to benefit Asian content, a destubathon perhaps, aimed at reducing the stub count would be a good place to start, based on the current Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The Africa Destubathon which has produced near 200 articles in just three days. If you would like to see this happening for Asia, and see potential in this attracting more interest and editors for the country/countries you work on please sign up and being contributing to the challenge! This is a way we can target every country of Asia, and steadily vastly improve the encyclopedia. We need numbers to make this work so consider signing up as a participant! Thank you. --Ser Amantio di NicolaoChe dicono a Signa?Lo dicono a Signa. 02:07, 20 October 2016 (UTC)

Page move
[edit]Hi, please don't move a page by copying and pasteing its text as this fragments the page history. See Help:Move for what you can do. As for the tile of Pwadhi dialect, I agree with you that this spelling is rare, but "Poadhi" appears to be even rarer: I can't find even a single source that uses it on either google books or google scholar. From what I see, "Powadhi" appears to be the common spelling in English language soruces, and so this seems like the best title. What do you think? – Uanfala (talk) 21:45, 27 November 2018 (UTC)
- I've reverted you move, but of course you're free to redo the text edits to the article (which, at the moment, is at Pwadhi dialect). The last revision you edited was this. – Uanfala (talk) 21:50, 27 November 2018 (UTC)
- Gotcha. Sorry about that. I did have an inkling that what I was doing was perhaps not the most elegant way of moving a page. Also, I'll see if I can find an agreed-upon spelling for the dialect. I'll have to look around. Thanks for letting me know! Cheers HFret (talk) 19:15, 28 November 2018 (UTC)
