Halloween (2007

[edit]

Do you have a source for these actor additions? Rob Zombie's Myspace page tends to be the first to release such information, and he tends to release their character names along with them. Bignole 21:27, 19 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Please see the talk page for the reason behind the changes. The cast section is formatted after FA film articles, and the reason why I removed the other actors is on the talk page.  BIGNOLE  (Contact me) 14:45, 14 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia!

[edit]

I noticed you were new, or at least that nobody has officially welcomed you yet, so let me be the first to say hello, give you some tips, and share a few useful links.

One thing we like to tell newcomers is to be bold. By this we mean don't be afraid to join the rest of us in improving the articles you see here. Most Wikipedians are friendly and patient, willing to give you the same respect you give them, no matter who they are or how long they've been here.

It looks like you're the type who isn't afraid to dive right in, which can be great as long as you understand the ground rules. Since being bold does not include being reckless, many new editors feel that it's good to be somewhat cautious at first. It certainly helps to avoid conflicts with other users if you learn the ins and outs before making major changes. If it's a big edit or a controversial issue, you may want to look at the article's talk page to see if the issue has been discussed in the past, or to post a message to see what other editors think about your proposed change before you make it. It's important to cite references and set personal points of view aside.

Here are some links you might find helpful:

Now that you have your own user name, you can sign your discussions by typing four tildes (~~~~). This will automatically stamp your user name, the time, and the date. That will help other users reply to your posts. If you want to experiment with coding or see how articles will look before you post them, you can use your own private sandbox at User:Halloweenluver/sandbox (the link will turn blue after you start the page). You can edit that page however you want without worrying about disrupting other articles.

I hope this information is useful to you, and I'm looking forward to seeing your contributions. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me for help. Kafziel Talk 23:40, 29 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

License tagging for Image:DrLoomis2007.JPG

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:DrLoomis2007.JPG. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

[edit]
Image Copyright problem
Image Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading Image:LaurieStrode2007.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 11:42, 6 September 2007 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Ejfetters 11:42, 6 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:LaurieStrode2007.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:LaurieStrode2007.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Ejfetters 11:42, 6 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Image Copyright problem

Thank you for uploading Image:PromNight2008.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI (talk) 18:26, 22 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on My Bloody Valentine (2009 film) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. A tag has been placed on DanielleHarris.jpg, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing no content to the reader. Please note that external links, "See also" section, book reference, category tag, template tag, interwiki link, rephrasing of the title, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article don't count as content. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. If you plan to expand the article, you can request that administrators wait a while for you to add contextual material. To do this, affix the template {{hangon}} to the page and state your intention on the article's talk page. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Friday the 13th (2009 film). Note that the three-revert rule prohibits making more than three reversions on a single page within a 24 hour period. Additionally, users who perform a large number of reversions in content disputes may be blocked for edit warring, even if they do not technically violate the three-revert rule. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing. Please do not repeatedly revert edits, but use the talk page to work towards wording and content that gains a consensus among editors. If necessary, pursue dispute resolution. One more revert and I will personally block you. « Gonzo fan2007 (talkcontribs) 21:30, 24 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

H2

[edit]

I have redirected your article H2: Halloween 2 to the franchise article since it is too early to warrant it's own article. Yes, the film has been anounced but per WP:NFF, future films need to have begun filming or have a notable production before getting an article. For now, the franchise article can cover any information about the new film. See also this discussion if you have any comment.  Paul  730 17:57, 20 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

No. First, there's only a paragraph of information. It isn't substantial. Second, we don't know the official title of the film yet. Most people are just calling it "Halloween 2", but we don't know. WP:NFF is pretty clear, that articles are only created when the film is either released, or the production itself has become notable. The film hasn't even entered production, let alone is that production note worthy (yet).  BIGNOLE  (Contact me) 21:18, 13 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free media (File:H2-teaser.jpg)

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:H2-teaser.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 05:11, 26 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

H2

[edit]

Please see the H2 talk page. There has been to much confusion over the name of the film, and the on the talk page it is discussed that it would be best to wait until there is either 100% confirmation of a name (i.e. someone says, "This is the name..."), or until the film comes out and we see what the name is. Otherwise, we have half a dozen variations of the name floating around on both unofficial and official websites.  BIGNOLE  (Contact me) 22:50, 30 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Another issue is with the Weinstein website, which has "Halloween II" (which they cannot use because they don't know the licensing rights the that specific title (i.e. the roman numerals)), they don't have a plot synopsis or any information on the film listed even though it's been released elsewhere. It makes me wonder who is actually maintaining that page that they put in "Halloween II", but don't put in a synopsis. I just wonder when the page was last updated.  BIGNOLE  (Contact me) 01:23, 31 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I believe that De Laurentiis owns the title rights, because they were the producing house (well Universal helped as well, but I would assume that De Laurentiis was primary.). Either way, I don't think it's been officially announced what the title will be. Zombie seemed annoyed that they were using H2 in the trailer, which he didn't create anyway.  BIGNOLE  (Contact me) 23:42, 1 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I still think we should either wait for an official word, or the film to be released. The people that run the websits are not the people that make the films, or even have any say in the film.  BIGNOLE  (Contact me) 20:04, 5 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.
