Speedy deletion nomination of Atheme[edit]

Hello YourFunWorldStudios,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Atheme for deletion, because it seems to be inappropriate for a variety of reasons.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

Request reason:

We are not advertising rather we are informing.. The said content said even it was propriety property and therefore NO product is being sold.. There is absolutely no way to get the software. Rather we are trying to simply inform others. Why is it that all the other game engine who actually advertise haven't been banned? For example: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Quazal is "advertising" their engine.. We have no intent to gain from this said article.. We plan on just having a page to inform users of the history and information about the engine, however again it is propriety property and therefore is in NO WAY advertising. We were also automatically blocked within the minutes of the warning... Which is unfair as we were unable to correct the issue(s) within the time period. You just immediately blocked us without giving us a chance to correct.

I am requesting to be un-banned and will follow the Wikipedia rules from this day forth. I wasn't aware Wikipedia had such policies in place at the time and I have no reviewed them and will keep to them. This is my personal Wikipedia account now and I have no intentions of tainting that.

Request reason:

I appealed the ban you guys gave me asking to change my name so I can use Wikipedia personally and not on any sort of business capacity but my request was wrongfully declined. I just want to use Wikipedia and this is honestly ridiculous that you guys declined my request when I specifically stated I understood the rules now and wouldn't do it again. Don't you think my perma blocking is a bit too harsh for the crime? By wikipedia policies that I read up on "Blocking" is the last resort and should be used as such. I feel wronged that I have been blocked since 2015 and now can no longer use Wikipedia simply for ONE simple mistake.. Its not like I said any curse words or vandalized or anything of that nature. Please consider my block removal as this is ridiculous.

Unblock discusion[edit]

Really poor form to lecture block reviewers on blocking/unblocking. Blocking is not punishment. In our experience, users who cannot answer that question wind up getting blocked again. Blocking is done to prevent damage/disruption, and if you have no idea what constructive edits you would make, it is not incumbent on us to guess. Once again. Please describe what constructive edits would you make. Wronged? Because you waited five years to address the reasons for your block and seek unblocking? I hardly think the five years of not editing is due to anything we have/have not done. Furthermore, five years ago, you did in fact deny that your edits on Atheme were promotional. I see no reason to think you can now tell the difference between constructive and promotional editing. (Please understand that you will not be allowed to edit about Atheme.) Please.
