Feury[edit]

Hi - your intro piece on Feury looks interesting, but it's fundamentally broken: you need to attach your references only to the sentences which they support. And if there's something you can't support based on those sources, you can't include it. Understand? DS (talk) 19:05, 30 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks! Making some adjustments :)

An extended welcome[edit]

Hi Hauntedmill. Welcome to Wikipedia. I hope you don't mind if I share some of my thoughts on starting out as a new editor on Wikipedia: If I could get editors in your situation to follow just one piece of advice, it would be this: Learn Wikipedia by working only on non-contentious topics until you have a feel for the normal editing process and the policies that usually come up when editing casually. You'll find editing to be fun, easy, and rewarding. The rare disputes are resolved quickly and easily.

Working on biographical information about living persons is far more difficult. Wikipedia's Biographies of living persons policy requires strict adherence to multiple content policies, and applies to all information about living persons including talk pages.

If you have a relationship with the topics you want to edit, then you will need to review Wikipedia's Conflict of interest policy, which may require you to disclose your relationship and restrict your editing depending upon how you are affiliated with the subject matter. Regardless, editing in a manner that promotes an entity or viewpoint over others can appear to be detrimental to the purpose of Wikipedia and the neutrality required in articles.

Some topic areas within Wikipedia have special editing restrictions that apply to all editors. It's best to avoid these topics until you are extremely familiar with all relevant policies and guidelines.

I hope you find some useful information in all this, and welcome again. --Ronz (talk) 03:02, 11 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Disambiguation link notification for October 15[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Killian & the Comeback Kids, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page John Carney. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 06:09, 15 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Karmic Release Ltd. requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a company, corporation or organization that does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Ari T. You have been blocked indefinitely from editing because it appears that you are not here to build an encyclopedia.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text below the block notice on your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  Bbb23 (talk) 21:53, 26 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
It's part of a larger hobby of looking for film groups with a focus like this and spotlighting them when I can. That other version was years ago and when I read about this "master of cinema" thing I thought that would fit the notability standards. Started this round of contributions here exactly because I'd worked on it in the past. I'd like the opportunity to add more to LGBTQIA+ section, or source more quotes for your approval. But if this one's just not going to make it of course I understand. But I hope you'll let me continue on to the next entry I was looking into. Those are additions not creation. I am sorry for the trouble. Hauntedmill (talk) 22:38, 26 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

Hi all, I certainly am trying to participate in the building of an encyclopedia, if intermittently. I was interested in this page due to the company's production and preservation of intersectional films. Foregrounding LGBTQIA+ stories as well was queer, female, and POC filmmakers in both their production and preservation. Criterion is running a series they preserved right now. I felt between the AMPAS preservation and "master of cinema" recognition given by a notable American festival that this is a notable page both cinematically and culturally. I was headed back to elaborate on the LGBTQIA+ elements when this block came up. My next stops were additions to pages for Peter Biskind, Henry Jaglom, and Virtual cinema. I hope you'll understand. I do a lot of research in the spring and this is my season for this kind of thing. Thank you. Hauntedmill (talk) 22:10, 26 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

Per below. — Daniel Case (talk) 06:45, 27 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

  • Your edits, including the deleted ones, demonstrate that your main purpose here is to promote Karmic Release, a non-notable production company that you have created twice, despite it being deleted the first time per WP:AFD.--Bbb23 (talk) 22:28, 26 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
