^{From WP:EAR} I've removed the whole section on the grounds that (a) it wasn't interesting (b) none of them were facts. School Uniforms aren't interesting facts but important - see Eton College Uniform or Carpenter London Uniform. If "facts" are particularly obnoxious or beyond belief invoke WP:BOLD which carries a useful notice Though the boldness of contributors like you is one of Wikipedia's most precious assets, it is important that contributors take care of the common good, at least that they do not edit recklessly. However, any changes you make that turn out badly can be reverted, often quite painlessly. So be Bold, if you act rashly they can be undone and editors should understand your concerns. But please don't use it on every single article you see, WP:BOLD can quite easily be seen as WP:POINT if you go on an editing spree of "Interesting facts". You discussed, you asked for a second opinion, second editor invoked WP:BOLD sharing your concerns. Sure, no problem! The code for my icons (which can be reconfigured to your own of course) can be found at User:Canadian Paul/Promotion; all you have to do is create your own user subpage and replace my articles/icons with your own. Then, to put it on your own user page, just add {{User:Canadian Paul/Promotion}} (replaced, of course, with whatever you call your subpage) anywhere on your userpage. ITC Project

Hello, thanks for the invitation. :o) I will certainly try to help out as and when, but I'm finding my "To Do" list is already spiralling out of control to an excessive degree just with trying to help out with comics..! Added to which, (almost) all my ITC books and DVDs are in another country, which makes me less of a help than an enthusiastic supporter. When I recoved them, though, I shall try to help out more. Article Modification

G'day Howard,

I have a quick question, I posted an update to the article for BSFC (Brake Specifc Fuel Consumption). My previous version can be found here: http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Brake_specific_fuel_consumption&oldid=204090949

My post was removed by another user and I don't believe it should have been.

At the bottom of the article (BSFC) they quote the best figures attained for BSFC of an internal combustion engine. These figures are no longer accurate as a newer engine has exceed them (lower figure). I added to the article to include this new information and also provide evidence to support the new claim (independant test report).

I hope you can assist, I'm not sure if you are the most appropriate person.

Your screen capture of Brains

Hi HowardBerry, I saw that you contributed the screenshot of Brains to wikipedia. Do you think it would be a good idea to add a screenshot of the characters to the rest of the character pages. Eg. Jeff Tracy etc.? I know it states a limited number of screenshots, what do you think? IF so, how is it that you make the image smaller, as in make the resolution smaller? Editor Assistance

Greetings, I have been involved in an edit war (Yes, I know, not good) in many articles having to do with Argentina's population and Amerindian ancestry (Argentina, Argentine American, White Argentine, Demographics of Argentina, White People, etc.)

One user in particular, User:Fercho85 reverts my many edits every time, even though they are backed by reliable sources. Our problem, I suspect, is that he doesn't want to acknowledge the Amerindian ancestry of many Argentines and insists that the whole population (practically) of Argentina is White/European. I agree that Argentina has a large European descended population (Next to Brazil and Mexico) in Latin America (Or all the Americas, for that matter), but there are many studies that show a large population have Amerindian ancestry (About 56% have some Amerindian ancestry).

My sources, in Spanish, http://www.clarin.com/diario/2005/01/16/sociedad/s-03415.htm and http://coleccion.educ.ar/coleccion/CD9/contenidos/sobre/pon3/index.html state that 56% of Argentines has some Amerindian ancestry and that Argentina is a country of mixed ethnic groups (many even have Afro-Argentine ancestry). This, to me, should be added in all articles having to do with the Argentine descended population... as the European population is always referenced, rather tirelessly and given a larger percentage than should be. Please help me to overcome this POV of sorts.

Actor's name...

I recently purchased the complete first season of "The Adventures of Robin Hood" TV series from Amazon. In addition to the fun of seeing various bit players switch sides every other episode, I would

• like to know the name of the actor who played Will Scatloff (?) in the first two episodes and 'Terence' in "The Youngest Outlaw." It seems the end-credits for these episodes were taken from somewhere else in the series, since they name characters that did not appear in those specific episodes.
• Also, I gather from the 'official' site that the version I purchased may not be legal.

Answer is Bruce Seton [1] He was uncredited. I have the first two episodes and the end titles are correct. Luckily he was in my book.15:51, 27 January 2009 (UTC)

I see you have changed this to Spy/Fi but why?? They were not secret agents, but part of Interpol and Jason King was only like a consultant. Only 2/3 stories involved the British secret service. The stories always had fantastic "hooks" at the begining but worked through to a logical and plausible ending ie; six days, the trojan tanker, the man from x, etc. What would you class Jonathan Creek as? I thought, if Department S was ever remade, an excellent replacement for Jason King as having a magicians assistant stumbling across crimes was always the hardest point to accept, but we in Britain also have Rosemary and Thyme, your every day gardening sleuths. I looked up spy-fi and Department S is not included and I still do not think it is a correct discription as there is no science fiction element in Department S. That was why I changed it. Help with an editing dispute

Hi there. I have logged in with an alias to leave this message as for the time being I do not want the editors who I am in dispute with to trace this conversational thread.

I see you help out with dispute resolution, which is why I contact you, and also I see that you are not in the United States (which I regard as a bonus as you will see).

I came across on article refirected from here RKBA and, as you do, I saw some gross errors and ommissions and starting editing it. There seem to be several regular contributors there who I now suspect are all on one side of the issue (which is why the article does not have balance). At least one of the editors there regularly "argues" with the others but I am now convinced that these "arguments" are just there as a sham... to give the impression that the article is properly being edited by people on all sides. I had a long session on legal matters and have since moved on to issues of controls and the reasons for them. There were some problems with the other editors there not wanting me to insert comparative data in the national sections. I then added a new section to discuss the reasons for controls on RKBA and to act as a placeholder for comparative statistics done by academics, government bodies and internnational organizations. I did not get very far as one editor kept deleting the section and even when it stayed (briefly) it was heavily flagged on issues of citation, relevance. synthesis, and POV. One editor broke 3RR and has now deleted the section I think at least 5 times. Now an non-logged in user /who I suspect is the same person) has deleted the section again.

I'd be grateful if you could take a look and without editing there or on using my other user page (I'm sure can work out who that is) let me know here what you think I should do.

I have already let it be known that I think these editors are working in cahoots and may (though maybe unlikely) be sockpuppets. I feel inclined to go to formal dispute resolution on the rights and wrongs of the section, but I fear that these people are an organized group, well funded, and may well have "infiltrated" wikipedia at the highest levels. If you are careful and follow the links I posted to a news item at broadcast news producer called democracy now you will see what I mean.

Howie, thanks for the note. I will agree, the other user may have gone too far with his terms (however, the first user continually referred to them as a "sockpuppet", so I expect it was tit-for-tat). It doesn't excuse the behaviour, but explains it. The prime issue is that a user was told to either STOP calling people socks, or file the SSP. They then created a second account so that they could continue the name-calling, and then canvassed.
