Welcome to Wikiproject India[edit]

Flag of India.svg

Hi, and welcome to the India WikiProject! We're a group of editors working to improve Wikipedia's coverage of India.

A few features that you might find helpful:

There are a variety of interesting things to do within the project; you're free to participate however much—or little—you like:

  • Want to know how good our articles are? The assessment department is working on rating the quality of every India article in Wikipedia.
  • Can you code? The automation department uses automated and semi-automated methods to perform batch tasks that would be tedious to do manually.

If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask another fellow member, and we'll be happy to help you. Again, welcome! We look forward to seeing you around! -- Lost(talk) 19:12, 2 November 2006 (UTC)

Dead links[edit]

Hi, it would be great if you could look for an archived version of a dead link before removing the link. For example, I restored the link you removed on The Pickup Artist, using the web archive version:*/ Thanks! Plastikspork ―Œ(talk) 15:57, 26 April 2010 (UTC)

Notability of government officials[edit]

You removed "Sardar Sikandar Hayat Khan, former PM and president of Azad Kashmir" from Azad Kashmir for not being notable. In fact, being the president or prime minister of a country, state or province, or being a member of a legislature or parliament of a country, state or province, is recognized as an automatic proof of notability. Eastmain (talkcontribs) 07:42, 27 April 2010 (UTC)

Yes, certainly, former Presidents, Prime ministers, and Members of Legislatures are notable by our standards! --Orange Mike | Talk 15:54, 28 April 2010 (UTC)
