The page Mr. Cyril Akporuere Odu has been speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This was done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because the content of the page appeared to be purely promotion of something or someone, and was unlikely to be suitable for an article (or at best would need a fundamental rewrite). Wikipedia is not a medium for promotion of anything, whether a company, product, group, service, person, religious or political belief, or anything else. Neutrality
[edit]Please remember to adhere to Wikipedia's neutrality policy when writing articles. Your various biographies of Nigerian bankers have included such words as "shrewd", "sterling", "seasoned", and "distinguished". These are non-neutral words that indicate that you are intending to praise the subject rather than report about them in a neutral manner. Please avoid such words in your writing at Wikipedia. General notes
[edit]In addition to the above note about neutrality, please keep the following issues in mind and you create your articles:
- Generic honorifics such as "Mr." or "Mrs." are not needed in Wikipedia articles. If the subject has an honorific title that indicates some type of accomplishment, such as "Dr." or "Prof.", that may be used in the first mention of the person's name, but should not be used again within the article. Instead, we simply refer to the subject by their surname throughout the remainder of the article.
- Headings should follow an outline style, with the topmost headings in an article formatted as a level 2 heading (
'== Heading =='). (First level headings are reserved for the article title itself.) Within headings, there is no need to add bold text, and only add italics if they are necessary (such as a book or film title used within a heading). - Bare URLs should not be used in citations. Refer to the {{cite web}} template for instructions on how to include a properly formatted web page citation.
