Help me!

[edit]

Please help me with... I created a page for Margaret Handwerker. Ho do I upload it to the internet?

Isabella Zuralski (talk) 19:02, 9 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Isabella Zuralski You can create it as a draft by going here: Wikipedia:Article wizard. However, if you've created it in word, it's unlikely the formatting will work on Wikipedia. CHRISSYMAD ❯❯❯¯\_(ツ)_/¯ 19:39, 9 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]
I have moved your draft to Draft:Margaret Handwerker, the preferred location for drafts (the place where you put it was your user page, a place to write something about yourself as a Wikipedia editor). I also added a messagebox to the top that has a "Submit your draft for a review" button; if you make use of that, an experienced editor will take a look at the draft and either turn it into a live article or provide feedback on how it needs to be improved. It will not be accepted in its current state, however; the draft does not cite any references. Thus our readers cannot verify the content. It also isn't written in the formal tone required of an encyclopedia article and seems to be - at least in parts - written by the subject herself. Those parts seem also rather self-servingly promotional. Huon (talk) 21:55, 9 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

The article Margaret Handwerker has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

On close inspection of the references provided, there is neither enough coverage of this person to satisfy WP:GNG, nor do they meet WP:CREATIVE. I can't see evidence of significant critical attention. Only one piece apparently temporarily appeared at the Chigago Institute of Art, so this does not constitute a substantial part of a significant exhibition. The only criteria I could see this coming near meeting is "represented within the permanent collections" in that the Art Institute of Chicago and the Skirball Cultural Center apparently purchased the two pieces. However they were only temporarily on display.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
