A tag has been placed on Nininho Vaz Maia, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Your draft article has been moved to draft space, where you can work on bringing it up to the required standard for inclusion, then submit for review. Please do not move it yourself. Deb (talk) 14:51, 8 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Deb,
I did everything the community asked. I adjusted the text following the same scheme as other artists, inserted links for independent verification, etc. You can check the references' links and confirm all information is legit! I don't understand why you keep deleting a page about a very well know musician in Portugal, with news that confirm everything that it is written in the article!
Can you please tell me exactly what am I doing wrong and where you cannot see the relevance of this page? JTLoto (talk) 16:28, 8 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
The page has not been deleted. You unwisely moved it straight to article space. If you really think it's suitable for Wikipedia as it stands, all you need to do is submit it for review and wait for the feedback. Deb (talk) 17:36, 8 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Ok @Deb,
Thank you for your reply. Already submited it. Thank you. JTLoto (talk) 17:38, 8 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hello JTLoto. The nature of your edits gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being compensated by a person, group, company or organization to use Wikipedia to promote their interests. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not, and is an especially serious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to black-hat search-engine optimization.

Paid advocates are very strongly discouraged from direct article editing, and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists. If the article does not exist, paid advocates are extremely strongly discouraged from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.

Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:JTLoto. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=JTLoto|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, do not edit further until you answer this message. PRAXIDICAE🌈 17:04, 8 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hi @Praxidicae,
I totally understand what you mean. I am definitely NOT being paid by the artist, and my insistence on this subject has more to do with the proof of concept in me adding information to the Wikipedia. My goal is to provide accurate information about an artist I have come across with, and because it is clearly relevant in the Portuguese music scene, document this notable artist in the Wikipedia, the same way you can find other flamenco artists, such as Rosalia, Paco de Lucia, and others.
Also, that is why I tried to reference every fact in the article, linking to independent news in different publishers that have covered the artist's career and concerts. JTLoto (talk) 17:27, 8 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Then please explain how the images were your own work? In fact, you've argued this on commons. PRAXIDICAE🌈 17:28, 8 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Of course, no problem.
I contacted the artist press team in order to use to photo and upload it to the Wikipedia article. I did not find the Wiki page for their photographer, but they told me Wikipedia could use the photo without restrictions and free from copywrite infringement. Maybe it was the wrong definition, but I had no way to link to another page. This is a picture which has been shared many times to many publishers (and that is why you can find it in many news articles widespread across the internet). JTLoto (talk) 17:32, 8 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
That's...not how copyright or "own work" works. Why should we believe what you say now? Also you've been editing for years with a WP:COI. PRAXIDICAE🌈 17:42, 8 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
A COI? I haven't been posting for years in Wikipedia, I reckon...
Anyway, I am providing facts and real information, I am not making anything up, and it is all supported in news and articles I referenced in the page. Feel free to analyse and see for yourselves. A quick review of the references will show you the information is real and true.
I don't know what else I can do to prove you this. JTLoto (talk) 17:53, 8 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

License tagging for File:Nininho.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Nininho.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information.

To add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia. For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 18:30, 8 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
