Suspension of admin privileges due to inactivity

Following a community discussion in June 2011, consensus was reached to provisionally suspend the administrative privileges of users who have been inactive for one year, meaning administrators who have made neither any edits nor any logged actions in over one year. As a result of this discussion, your administrative privileges have been removed pending your return. If you wish to have these privileges reinstated, please post to the Wikipedia:Bureaucrats' noticeboard and the userright will be restored per the re-sysopping process (i.e., as long as the attending bureaucrats are reasonably satisfied that your account has not been compromised and that your inactivity did not have the effect of evading scrutiny of any actions which might have led to sanctions). This removal of access is procedural only, and not intended to reflect negatively upon you in any way. We wish you the best in future endeavors, and thank you for your past administrative efforts. Can Buraucrats/Stewards take action against Vandalism?

Hi, Can Bureaucrats or Stewards take action against vandals or can only administrators?, and what about the higher users such as founders? MrAmberGold (talk) 20:03, 29 July 2011 (UTC)MrAmberGoldMrAmberGold (talk) 20:03, 29 July 2011 (UTC)

Yes, they all can. Bureaucrats and stewards tend to leave the vandal fighting to others but there's nothing stopping them. To be a bureaucrat you have to be an administrator for a while (probably a couple of years) but a steward is an inter-wiki user and unlikely to bother with vandal fighting.

Deleted Page

Hi James

I recently created a page for Intuitive Business Intelligence and it was instantly deleted by Lectonar. I have tried contacting him numerous times and have failed to receive a response.

I would like to know why it was deleted as it is in exactly the same format as both the Version One & QlikTech pages with similar links etc. I have not used any sales puffs/peacock terms, which leaves me very confused as to why it was so abruptly deleted.

I wonder if you could shed some light on the situation?

Many thanks,

Natalie --Nataliehealey (talk) 09:43, 26 October 2011 (UTC)
