The Wikipedia tutorial is a good place to start learning about Wikipedia. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my talk page. By the way, you can sign your name on Talk and discussion pages using four tildes, like this: ~~~~ (the software will replace them with your signature and the date). Again, welcome! Plot summaries[edit]

Hi Jessiegirl90, and thank-you for your contributions to Wikipedia. While I appreciate your efforts, I have reverted your attempts to expand the plot summaries of The Virgin Suicides (film), Close Encounters of the Third Kind, and The Wonderful Wizard of Oz. The reason why is simply that on Wikipedia, we don't want to have plot summaries that include nearly everything that happened in the book or movie, but instead we want to have plot summaries that very concisely communicate the plot in as few sentences and possible, enough to understand the rest of the article. Therefore, the challenge is to write plot summaries that are as short, not lengthy in detail. See WP:PLOTSUMMARIZE and you'll learn more of what I mean. This is a very common mistake that new editors make and so you are definitely not alone, so please don't feel too bad. We do want you to contribute to Wikipedia. Please know also that all contributions must be information that is verifiable by reliable sources and written in a neutral voice. If you have any questions, I am available to help you; just leave your question below or on my Talk page. Cheers. Prhartcom (talk) 20:00, 19 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
