Chuck Wilson

[edit]
Chuck Wilson (music executive), which you submitted to Articles for creation, has been created.

Thank you for helping Wikipedia!

Qwyrxian (talk) 00:11, 29 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Notes: I don't know why AQ thought this person wasn't notable; perhaps they saw it before you added all of those references. But it's definitely clear to me that Wilson meets our notability guidelines for living people. I'm going to do some cleanup work on the article right now. Some things that might be helpful for your future work on Wikipedia:
  • The name of an article should generally be the most common name used for that subject. Since the sources you provided seem to universally refer to him as "Chuck Wilson", that's the title I used for the article. There's already another Chuck Wilson, so I had to use a "disambiguation", which, for people, is usually their profession. I'll also move the existing article to a similar title; anyone who searches for "Chuck Wilson" will end up being sent to Charles Wilson, which has many people of the same name (and to which I'll add your new article).
  • Generally speaking, references should go after punctuation, not before.
  • It's good to put personal information into a separate section in the article, so I'll be moving around his marriage, and probably his schooling to a new section.
I'm going to work a bit on the article right now, but you're certainly welcome to continue improving the article once I take off the "in use" tag. Thank you very much for a great contribution to Wikpedia! Qwyrxian (talk) 00:11, 29 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Edit summaries

[edit]

Jgerson, when you make edits to an article, please leave an edit summary explaining why you made the changes you did. Just below the big editing box, there's a smaller box with a single line; you should add a short summary of your edit, like "Added info about iHiphop.com" or "removing unsourced info" or whatever. It makes it much easier for other editors to collaborate with you on the article. Thanks. Qwyrxian (talk) 03:50, 30 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

File Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading File:Marz lovejoy.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status and its source. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously.

If you did not create this work entirely yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the page from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of the website's terms of use of its content. If the original copyright holder is a party unaffiliated with the website, that author should also be credited. You will also need to state under what licensing terms it was released. Please refer to the image use policy to learn what files you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. The page on copyright tags may help you to find the correct tag to use for your file.

Please add this information by editing the image description page. If the necessary information is not added within the next days, the image will be deleted. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.

Please also check any other files you may have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Here is a list of your uploads. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Eeekster (talk) 01:50, 18 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Marz Lovejoy requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a band or musician, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. andy (talk) 15:04, 18 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
