In response to your feedback[edit]

Hi Jillsargeant... The name is not permanent. It can be moved to fix the capitalization. No worries. :)

A discussion is taking place as to whether the article Alicia Hayes is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.

The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Alicia Hayes until a consensus is reached, and anyone is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on good quality evidence, and our policies and guidelines.

Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion template from the top of the article. Ariconte (talk) 06:19, 8 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Articone---article up for deletion (Alicia Hayes)[edit]

Thanks for your input...I'm new at this and it's my first article. I do hope that there is more that I can do to prevent this article from being deleted. I really thought I had all my bases covered! Please help. Thanks. Jillsargeant (talk) 09:09, 8 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

In response to your feedback[edit]

Hi Jillsargeant, and thank you for your feedback. It's okay to make mistakes in removing tags; you've indicated that you aren't going to do it again so there's no harm done.

As regards the deletion of Alicia Hayes, please see my comment at the deletion discussion (you're also welcome to contribute there, by the way). The paucity of sources makes it hard to argue for a solid Keep; if you can add more it stands a much better chance of survival. Remember, to pass the notability guidelines we need sources which are independent, in-depth and reliable.

In response to your feedback[edit]

This suggestion is the vote of Yunshui, so just a part of the ongoing process. This should run for 7 days, and then an administrator will close the discussion. So no need to merge at the moment, perhaps the article will stand.

In response to your feedback[edit]

We shall see; at the least you'll have learned rather a lot about Wikipedia policy, and the positive effects a discussion/consensus building can have. And I have to correct myself: we do not have a vote about the article, but rather a discussion. But I am just an old coot who does remember the old name of the process for deletions of articles. Enough blathering. Cheers and happy editing.

Thanks...[edit]

...for fixing this; I was obviously running low on caffeine... Yunshui  13:47, 8 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

In response to your feedback[edit]

For uploading pictures and other media, it's easiest to go to Wikimedia Commons (you can use your Wikipedia credentials if you're not logged in already) and visit the Upload Wizard. Wikimedia Commons can only accept files which anyone can use for any purpose. That means most content you find on the web is not acceptable. But for example, most photos that you've taken yourself are OK to upload.

Here's a screenshot of the Upload Wizard:

You start by selecting the files you want to upload, then you go step by step through the process. In the final step, you'll get some wiki markup that you can copy into a Wikipedia article. Let me know if I can help. :-)

See Wikipedia:Referencing for beginners

You could do so much better.... The references in Birgit C. Muller are mostly bare ie; they don't contailn a bunch of useful detail. See Wikipedia:Bare URLs for the problems.... Try the cite tool, it makes it easy to do better:

There is a "Cite" toolbar at the top of the edit window which allows you to automatically generate the required wiki code.

You click one of the templates, e.g. "book", and fill in the details.

More information can be found in Wikipedia:Referencing for beginners or the citations tutorial (the below video will play best in Firefox or Chrome):

Hope this helps, Regards, Ariconte (talk) 04:02, 10 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

In response to your feedback[edit]

You can move the article or use {{DISPLAYTITLE:Your Title}}.

In response to your feedback[edit]

Moving means changing the page title.

Charles (talk) 09:31, 12 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

In response to your feedback[edit]

Move an article means to have the title changed. You cannot change the title by editing because the title is defined when you create it. When a page is move, the old page will redirect to the new page.
