Request reason:
I understand why I have been blocked and is truly sorry for vandalizing pages due to lack of sources. I RESPECT THE RULES AND WOULD LIKE TO BE UNBLOCKED. Joeblackkhole (talk) 01:33, 16 August 2016 (UTC)
Decline reason:
Repeatedly making unsourced changes to dates with no explanation after being warned about it numerous times is not an example of respecting the rules. OhNoitsJamie Talk 03:58, 16 August 2016 (UTC)
If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.
Copyvios
[edit]Joeblackkhole: I know you are indef-blocked, but I've found another problem and I'm signalling it here in case you make a fresh appeal of the block. I have just improved East St. Louis Lincoln High School, which you started, and thank you for writing up that school; however, I found the text was entirely copied from the source you cited. I just checked another article you created, Anthony Johnson (actor), and found that the lede is a copyvio of the cited source. If you are to return to editing, you must realize that you can't copy and paste from a source, regardless of whether you identify the source in a footnote; you must both identify the source and put the information in your own words (except for very brief quotes in quotation marks or blockquotes). Copyvio is a serious matter, because Wikipedia is publication; extremely few texts on-line are free of copyright (basically very old and not republished text and publications of the US government). See WP:COPYVIO. Yngvadottir (talk) 23:24, 4 October 2016 (UTC)
