New arts
It would be appreciated if you are going to create them - if you could find the time to add project tags for the talk page - thanks SatuSuro 00:22, 19 April 2010 (UTC)
Happy to oblige. Just added one here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:Tjalie_Robinson --KARL RAN (talk) 15:21, 19 April 2010 (UTC)
This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Pelita foundation, and it appears to include a substantial copy of http://www.pelita.nl/cms/publish/content/showpage.asp?pageID=241. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. See our copyright policy for further details. (If you own the copyright to the previously published content and wish to donate it, see Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials for the procedure.)
This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. CorenSearchBot (talk) 19:30, 19 April 2010 (UTC)
Hmmm, interesting. Bot is certainly in error. Official website is just the main source of reference. Thats all. Krgds --KARL RAN (talk) 19:42, 19 April 2010 (UTC)
Copyright problem: Pelita foundation
Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia! We welcome and appreciate your contributions, such as Pelita foundation, but we regretfully cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from either web sites or printed material. This article appears to be a copy from http://www.pelita.nl/cms/publish/content/showpage.asp?pageID=241, and therefore a copyright violation. The copyrighted text has been or will soon be deleted. While we appreciate contributions, we must require all contributors to understand and comply with our copyright policy. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously, and persistent violators are liable to be blocked from editing.
If you believe that the article is not a copyright violation, or if you have permission from the copyright holder to release the content freely under allowance license, then you should do one of the following:
- If you have permission from the author to release the text under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike License (CC-BY-SA), leave a message explaining the details at Talk:Pelita foundation and send an email with confirmation of permission to "permissions-en (at) wikimedia (dot) org". Make sure you quote the exact page name, Pelita foundation, in your email. See Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for instructions.
- If a note on the original website states that re-use is permitted "under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike License (CC-BY-SA), version 3.0, or that the material is released into the public domain leave a note at Talk:Pelita foundation with a link to where we can find that note.
- If you own the copyright to the material: send an e-mail from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en(at)wikimedia(dot)org or a postal message to the Wikimedia Foundation permitting re-use under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike License and GNU Free Documentation License, and note that you have done so on Talk:Pelita foundation. See Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials for instructions.
It may also be necessary for the text be modified to have an encyclopedic tone and to follow Wikipedia article layout. For more information on Wikipedia's policies, see Wikipedia's policies and guidelines.
If you would like to begin working on a new version of the article you may do so at this temporary page. Leave a note at Talk:Pelita foundation saying you have done so and an administrator will move the new article into place once the issue is resolved. Thank you, and please feel welcome to continue contributing to Wikipedia. Happy editing! VernoWhitney (talk) 19:49, 19 April 2010 (UTC)
Role of KNIL on Indonesian National Armed Forces history
I've tried to rewrite and mentioned about KNIL role and link in Indonesian National Armed Forces formation. I've also changed the picture of KNIL Minahasan reserve to Battle of Surabaya and General Sudirman to depict about TNI formation during Indonesian National Revolution. Thank you for your information and insight (Gunkarta (talk) 18:49, 8 June 2010 (UTC)).

Very much appreciate your comment, Andrea. Have been on a long secondment abroad, but am eager to make some time to contribute further to this delightful medium. Yrs truly, Karl --KARL RAN (talk) 19:08, 20 September 2010 (UTC)
",000" not ".000"
Hello there. I notice that in some of the articles you are contributing to, figures of thousands are using full stops instead of commas (ie, ".000" instead of ",000). Could you please change these to commas when you come across them? cheers --Merbabu (talk) 22:11, 19 November 2010 (UTC)
Hi Merbabu, Yes sure thing. I know I tend to do that (drives my colleagues crazy). Will keep it in mind. Thanks for the heads up. KARL P.S. noticed yr edits in the intro i penned for South Moluccas. Feel free to improve that, just did a quick one to swiftly oblige the context request. It was actually a good reminder for me that articles sometimes kick off out of the blue and might become somewhat elusive for those not too familiar with the subject matter.
Speedy deletion nomination of Alan Neys Memorial Fund
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
A tag has been placed on Alan Neys Memorial Fund requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article, which appears to be about a real person, individual animal(s), an organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, does not indicate how or why the subject of the article is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hang on}}
at the top of the article, immediately below the speedy deletion ({{db-...}}
) tag (if no such tag exists, the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate), and providing your reasons for contesting on the article's talk page, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. You may freely add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.
You may want to read the guidelines for specific types of articles: biographies, websites, bands, or companies. Fram (talk) 13:13, 6 December 2010 (UTC)
London Wikimedia Fundraiser
Good evening! This is a friendly message from Chase me ladies, I'm the Cavalry, inviting you to the London Wikimedia Fundraising party on 19th December 2010, in approximately one week. This party is being held at an artistic London venue with room for approximately 300 people, and is being funded by Ed Saperia, a non-Wikipedian who has a reputation for holding exclusive events all over London. This year, he wants to help Wikipedia, and is subsidising a charity event for us. We're keen to get as many Wikimedians coming as possible, and we already have approximately 200 guests, including members of the press, and some mystery guests! More details can be found at http://ten.wikipedia.org/wiki/London - expect an Eigenharp, a mulled wine hot tub, a free hog roast, a haybale amphitheatre and more. If you're interested in coming - and we'd love to have you - please go to the ten.wikipedia page and follow the link to the Facebook event. Signing up on Facebook will add you to the party guestlist. Entry fee is a heavily subsidised £5 and entry is restricted to over 18s. It promises to be a 10th birthday party to remember! If you have any questions, please email me at chasemewiki at gmail.com.
Hope we'll see you there, (and apologies for the talk page spam) - Chase me ladies, I'm the Cavalry (talk) 23:12, 12 December 2010 (UTC)

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Charles Knaud, and it appears to include material copied directly from http://old.blades.free.fr/keris/introduction/origin/knaud.htm.
It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. The article will be reviewed to determine if there are any copyright issues.
If substantial content is duplicated and it is not public domain or available under a compatible license, it will be deleted. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material. You may use such publications as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. See our copyright policy for further details. - While not a word-for-word copy, the article appears to be largely a close paraphrase and/or derivative work from the source identified by the bot and needs verifiable permission from the copyright holder or rewritten entirely in your own words. VernoWhitney (talk) 16:08, 2 March 2011 (UTC)
gave it another shot. krgds, karl --KARL RAN (talk) 23:07, 2 March 2011 (UTC)
Masonry in the Dutch East Indies
I think the article on the Grand Orient of the Netherlands should focus more on the GON itself (and as it is today), and only summarize its history. However, you may have enough material to justify a separate history article on Freemasonry in the Dutch East Indies or Freemasonry in Indonesia. 15:08, 27 April 2011 (UTC)
Couperus
The contents of the See also section are already included in the Indo people article, so I think it could be deleted now. – Editør (talk) 00:29, 14 June 2011 (UTC)
- Since I haven't heard from you, I am going to remove the Indo authors from the Couperus article. – Editør (talk) 08:37, 26 June 2011 (UTC)
My bad. I hv bn a little busy (amongst others with reading Couperus, believe it or not). My rationale for the see also inclusion of Indo autors is the fact that they all belong to a certain distinctive (sub)section of Dutch literature, not so much the fact that they are all ethnic Indo. I think people interested in the writing of Couperus wld thrfr also be interested in other autors of the same genre. --KARL RAN (talk) 10:21, 26 June 2011 (UTC)
